[i]Cobalt takes the note off the board, examines it, then place sit back. He heads towards the location. [/i]

[i]After descending a few flights of stairs and following several signs, you arrive at the active labs. Fortunately, only one is in use, and a sign above the heavy set door to the lab reads ‘Dr Clay’. [/i]

[i]Cobalt slowly opens on the door, and knocks on it while inside.[/i] “Someone asked for security?”

[i]You enter a massive square test room, with a high vaulted ceiling and smooth, tiled floors. The walls are thick and sturdy like the front door, but appear unblemished despite the strenuous testing. Along the sides of the room are numerous tables strewn with instruments of all shapes and sizes, each brightly lit by floating tongues of flame. In the center of the room is a large circle on the floor, suspending a massive obsidian sphere in the center. Clay stands before it, checking several notebooks, constantly glancing between it and the sphere. At one of the tables on the right sits a young girl, sketching and doodling in what appears to be an important tome. Clay turns as you enter, looking between you and his books. [/i] "Oh yes, bonjour! That would be me alright."

“Names, Cobalt. Have we met?” [i]Cobalt extends his hand, going for a handshake.[/i]

"I don't think so. I'm Clay, Dr Clay." [i]Clay appears to do a half bow before switching to the custom of shaking hands, almost dropping his books as he does so.[/i]

[i]Cobalt moves to help stabilize the books.[/i] “Watch yourself. Want me to hold some of them?”

"No no no, thank you though. I'll be setting them down shortly anyway." [i]Clay quickly balances them, rejecting the aid.[/i]

“Alright, if you insist.” [i]Cobalt steps back, and heads over to the girl.[/i]

[i]The girl doesn't notice you, and continues scribbling away. Clay walks back to the sphere, spreading the books out so he can read them all.[/i] "Ready when you are, Cobalt."

“Sure, one second.” [i]Cobalt turns to the girl.[/i] “What’re you doing in here?”

[i]She continues humming, and doesn't seem to hear you.[/i] "Please don't bother my assistant, thank you."

“Oh, yeah. Sorry! I’m ready.” [i]Cobalt walks over to stand by the doctor, and unholsters his rifle.[/i]

[i]Clay claps his hands together, and begins the ritual. Energy begins to pulsate from the obsidian sphere, followed by four multicolored portals opening: a red, grey, brown and blue. From the blue comes a moderate sized wave: a water elemental! And from the brown pops a small, rocky gremlin: a companion earth elemental[/i]

[i]Cobalt keeps watching, though he does maintain a combat stance.[/i]
-
[i]The elementals charge you! The water goes to restrain your feet, while the earth gremlin rushes to tackle you.[/i]

[i]Cobalt snaps his rifle up, and fires a set of rounds at the earth elemental. He tries to stomp outside the water elemental’s grasp.[/i]

[i]You gun down the earth elemental, and it fades into dust. Narrowly hopping out of its grasp, you avoid the water elementals reach.[/i]

“Doc, is this part of the plan?” [i]Cobalt fires more rounds at the water elemental![/i]

[i]You land some good shots, and the elemental seems weakened. It keeps pressing on, however, and smacks you once with a large watery fist! Clay doesn't answer, likely too busy concentrating on the ritual.[/i]

[i]Cobalt takes the hit, and goes flying a fair distance. He gets back up, and fires more rounds. After that, he looks to check if everyone is safe, before entering another stance.[/i]

[i]Your shots ring true, and the water elemental dries up as it perishes. Clay is now levitating out of harms reach above the sphere as he holds the portals open, and the girl appears not to notice the chaos around her. The red and grey portals begin to pulse as more elementals approach![/i]

[i]Cobalt reloads his rifle, and aims towards the next portals.[/i]
-
[i]A large, fiery lion pops out of the red portal, followed by a large, airy owl from the grey![/i]
-
[i]Cobalt hesitates for a moment, waiting for their intentions.[/i]
-
[i]They answer your query quickly by charging you! The owl dives from above, trying to claw at your head.[/i]
