Yeah, I don't know why Bungie does it but it sucks. Right now factions and vaulted raid shaders are unobtainable unless you played when they were active.

are you saying unlocked shaders are still available but the ones you haven't unlocked are greyed out? Sorry for asking, didn't quite understand it.

Yes. If you have it you can pull them but if you didn’t get it when it was available then you can’t obtain them anymore.
