Again not too much to mention as she’s one character we know extremely little about.
That is complete bullshit. If you did a D1 run through of venus lore and areas? It turns out we know A LOT about her based on her inputs thus far for D2. Beyond Light will complete this picture though.
I personally think Bungie did things this way to make her lore come front and center that what we did on Venus? Was her primary inputs to us from afar. Pretty bangarang when you get down to it.
He gifted Mara Sov a tiny wish dragon who would call itself Riven.
We actually do not know if ahamkara is dragons. We know them to be wish bearers who have the capability to shift. Thus, we actually have zero clues if the ahamkara is truly gone or dead as the capability to find one who wants to remain hidden has a number of disposal methods to them. However, there is zero confirmed active (so to speak) who are directly working against humanity as a whole. This bodes well for us as a whole.

Edited by NeonPropose: 11/4/2020 6:51:49 AMI know there’s lore on her from the Grimoire buts it’s few and far between. Manly justifying her reason for being in the campaign. I’ll admit I could’ve added it but this is a crash course. If people want more information, they’ll go and search for it. They’re literally called Wish DRAGONS!! Even if they ain’t typical ones, I do not want to confuse people anymore than the ahamkara already do. To further my point on Exo Stranger: Five gimoire cards exist about the Exo Stranger: Exo Stranger - a card where they speculate on her mere Existence calling her a legend. Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 4 - this one is just super confusing, seems to show Rasputin in the Post-Collapse world, acknowledging the existence of the Exo Stranger stating that she’s not of IT and not with IT (which we already knew). It seems Rasputin wants to learn how to step, although I doubt he means through worldlines and more how to take stand against IT. No Time To Explain - she’s literally only brought up in mention that the exotic looks like an enhanced version of her rifle. Ghost Fragment: The Exo Stranger - such an ambiguous card. We learn nothing from it other than the fact she’s been fighting and will continue to fight. Ghost Fragment: The Exo Stranger 2 - Shows her jumping between worldlines before arriving at ours. And there. We know and learn very little about her from the Grimoire as well as other sources. She’s the biggest mystery we have.
Manly justifying her reason for being in the campaign.
Let's start by stating that the Exo Stranger, is PROBABLY a girl... then we can move on.

Elsie bray is a solid confirmation for the Exo Stranger and the biogenetic territory Bungie is taking this leads the question since they made Ana a lesbian. It's relevant because a company in Washington apparently made it relevant.

And let’s try not to bring that type of stuff to the table because I’d rather not attract the trolls.

<Actually, it kind of is. The Collector's Edition blatantly makes it so, with the Splinter being a gift from her and her proceeding to talk about her "grandfather", and the journal is about... well, Clovis I.>

Edited by PhNx Hellfire: 11/4/2020 7:49:26 AM
Firstly. She’s not confirmed.
Current information regarding our Exo Stranger is signed "E" for Elsie. It's confirmed. Get up to date kiddo.
And let’s try not to bring that type of stuff to the table because I’d rather not attract the trolls.
If you aren't grown up enough to talk about it then ok. The relevancy to this is simple: The mindset of a heavily sedated (mindset reference for one who is calm), former human, with cognitive damage per lore... is going to lead to suspicious circumstances regarding the one I have always referred to as, "The stranger who was not forged in light" which by and large tends to point towards darkness. Which makes Variks one of two possibilities for an opportunist going into this expansion.

A simple E and the term “don’t be a stranger” in a letter to Ana does not make Elsie the Stranger. Merely implies she could be. It’s very likely they’re going to make her the Exo Stranger and that will be fine, but until we have her saying it or Bungie straight up confirming it, we shouldn’t say for definite. It’s still a theory. And like I said, a well supported one. But still a theory. You brought up that stuff which is frankly irrelevant to all of the stuff I brought up in the OP. You brought up Ana which means nothing to this post. Again, Elsie’s disappearance, her “curse” and everything surrounding her once again is heavily supportive of her being the stranger; but again. Still a theory, not proof.
The mindset of a heavily sedated, former human, with cognitive damage per lore... is going to lead to suspicious circumstances regarding the one I have always referred to as, "The stranger who was not forged in light" which by and large tends to point towards darkness.
I’m going to assume this is meant to represent the Exo Stranger, who seems to have a pretty intact memory from the limited interaction we’ve had with her. Also. She literally refers to herself as “not born in light”. That’s nothing new. We knew she was born in darkness but clearly doesn’t like it. None of this information is new. We won’t know anything new until Beyond Light when we’ll get actual answers.
Variks one of two possibilities for an opportunist going into this expansion.
Something we can agree on.
Ok. A simple E and the term “don’t be a stranger” in a letter to Ana does not make Elsie the Stranger. Merely implies she could be.
That is not just some random letter. The correlation and language match the other lore pieces surrounding the exo stranger. Its Elise bray. Confirmed.
You brought up that stuff which is frankly irrelevant to all of the stuff I brought up in the OP. You brought up Ana which means nothing to this post.
Ana and Elise are tied together as guardian and non. They will be involved in this season.
Again, Elsie’s disappearance, her “curse” and everything surrounding her once again is heavily supportive of her being the stranger; but again. Still a theory, not proof.
This isn't strong conjecture territory. Its confirmed fact now. Accept it and move on.

As much as I know it will likely be the case, it cannot be accepted until proven true through actual confirmation. Need I remind you how you said “Caiaytl is dead because all the shadows of Calus took out the other members of the coup so shes 100% dead” and then Season of the Worthy rolls around and confirmed she was alive and now running the empire. Just because something makes sense doesn’t mean it’s 100% the case. The Elsie Bray connection is at present still a theory. I will chose to treat it as one. I hope you have a good day.
No. Because that’s not how this works. You're loss if she doesn't say it. The evidence is not circumstantial. It's hard evidence right now that either it is elsie bray or something is wrong with the timeline itself- a possibility when Vex are involved.
