The game is definitely not competitive, but some of the players definitely are.
I've said before that the so-called "sweats" should just leave and find a different game to play, because their vision for the game and Bungie's are at odds with each other. Pushing for changes that take the game in a more "competitive" direction is a fool's errand.
To those people, stop taking the game so seriously. Destiny 2 is the Mario Kart of FPS PvP.

They can't leave....because most of them are trash at real pvp games. They play D2 because they believe it gives their otherwise meaningless life meaning.

Ehhhh...don't think the mario kart analogy works here as I believe that dose have a big competitive scene though could be wrong.
