Hey there, I believe the canon lore will change slightly, placing New Light guardians as either the original guardian in a different "path" or a different guardian from the Destiny 1 guardian.

I don´t think that Bungie will "split" canon like that, but everything is possible. Thanks for the reply.

Guardians with this intro are literally, new lights, because of a massive increase in guardians being ressed. Canonically, you are the young wolf, slayer of everything, but other new lights were rezzed after opulence.
