Why did you not think using an auto clicker while actually playing the game was against policy?
English
-
Because an auto clicker provides no advantage against another player. It’s basically a disability if someone were to try to use it against other skilled player.
-
No. It can be used as an advantage....as you can then use that finger/hand to help you in other ways, instead of being used to press the button you would normally be pressing.
-
Yes, someone is going to use an auto-CLICKER to shoot and use their index to aim. Like I said that would give the user a MAJOR disadvantage
-
Oh well. Bungie has emphatically stated not to use it during gameplay. Which begs the question...if it’s such a disadvantage, then why’d you use it?
-
Oh well. Bungie has emphatically stated not to use it during gameplay. Which begs the question...if it’s such a disadvantage, then why’d you use it?
I didn’t try to use it for a competitive advantage like you’re saying it could be. I simply used it to turn in materials that I had hundreds of.
-
That won’t get you banned. Bungie has said we can use them for trivial tasks (such as opening engrams, turning in materials, etc).
-
That won’t get you banned. Bungie has said we can use them for trivial tasks (such as opening engrams, turning in materials, etc).
Then that further extends my point, I should be unbanned or at least given a warning. It would be dumb if someone tried to use it more than turning in items. But, they just don’t respond. That’s the problem the “we don’t need to respond” just gives them a pass to not even look over your issue.
-
do you know how many people would start cheating if they knew all they had to do was make an excuse and say 'i didn't know' or 'i should just get a warning'? that's why there is zero tolerance.
-
An auto clicker is different from any cheat. Just like how a dog is different from a fish. If I was using any cheats on my MAIN that I have almost every end game item is really dumb. Cheats ruin a person’s game. I used the auto clicker to turn in items... I did nothing to another player
-
you are missing the point. according to bungie, auto-clicker = cheat per their policy: Using an external program or device to automate gameplay or circumvent idle detection. their game, their rules. we don't get to say this is bannable or that is not
-
So what your saying is we don’t have a voice? That really dumb, yes it’s their game. But who is buying it? Without us the game would be almost nothing.
-
you agreed to their terms when you bought it. if you didn't agree with the terms you shouldn't have bought it. you did read them right? or are you someone that just clicks through without reading what you are agreeing to and then wants the rules changed when they find out they broke the rules and get banned because they didn't know what the rules said? no need to answer, we already know.
-
Are suggesting that they auto clicked the sla?
-
I’m sorry to say this, but if you actually read the whole 5 pages before you get into the game you’re a nerd. A lot of games allow auto clickers to automate. I’m sorry I’m just too excited to get into a brand new game and I’m ready to play after a long day, than rather sit there and read. The auto clicker like I said was nothing major.
-
no need to be sorry. nerd? maybe. adult who's entered enough 'agreements/contracts' through the years to understand that fine print is important? definitely. a lot of games may allow auto-clickers to automate things. bungie does not as i already pointed out. you may not think it major but it can easily be abused and bungie does think it's enough of an issue that they clearly state it's not allowed. 100% on you for not reading and understanding it up front. have a good day. it serves no further purpose to try to get you to understand as you clearly think the rules don't apply to you.
-
I never said the rule don’t apply to me. I’ve given details and if you say that any type of automation is bad, whilst I have another person of the community telling me that Bungie allows them. I think they need to make the TOS more clear. This issue shouldn’t be this severe as they are seeing it. I personally now someone who actually downloaded hacks and used them. He has not been caught and I wouldn’t rat him out since he’s a good friend. But it still angers me to see him able to still play while I can’t.
-
if "Using an external program or device to automate gameplay" is not clear enough for you...... the other person saying bungie allows them is clearly wrong or we wouldn't be having this discussion now would we? as for you friend using hacks, sooner or later, they will get caught. bungie struggles to keep up with all the new cheats and hacks that get created but they do update their detection methods periodically, it's only a matter of time.
-
Oh I’m wrong? Then why would bngsecurity say:
Automating trivial tasks (especially for accessibility reasons) is allowed. Players will only punished for automation when it circumvents challenges all players face during gameplay (auto-aim, trigger-bot, etc)
-
they obviously felt his auto-clicker obviously circumvented a challenge we all face during gameplay (turning in mats according to OP). ;) lol somehow i get the feeling they were using it for more than just turning in mats.....
-
Oh I’m positive it was more than just what’s being said as well.
-
Even more than there already is.....which is already a lot.
-
Bungie doesn’t give warnings when it’s for a serious offense. If you’ve appealed, then Bungie has taken 2 looks at it (once when they initially gave the ban, then again after the appeal). If you are still banned after appealing, then there’s nothing more to do. Creating a post does nothing for getting you (or anyone) unbanned.
-
I would just like to see a change in the way they handle these things. Like many other games, you’ll get a reply from them if you have any issue. I know with all this virus business it’s hard for them. But I think this , “we don’t need to reply” stuff is kinda messed up. Like with the the YouTuber Luckyy10 guy, he was able to tell his side. I haven’t.
-
You were able to tell your side in the appeal form. I can see why they don’t tell too much....as it could tip their hand & give cheat creators a leg up on what does/doesn’t get detected. This could help them make better undetectable cheats.
-
I know it was the auto clicker. Macros are allowed, but my mouse doesn’t have that. So I downloaded a “3rd party” and they count that as a way to ban. I now know. How do we know if they are actually looking at these appeals? We don’t
