Cobalt immediately sprints for the tower. He unholsters his weapons and begins to climb.
English
-
The tower’s walls are steep and smooth. There aren’t any places to get a foothold
-
I meant the inside of the tower, but this works! Am I allowed to have my satchel?
-
Oh, well in that case...
You enter through the doorway to find a large entry hall, an aging red carpet covering the floor. You spot some stairs leading up to the next floor.
-
Cobalt runs up the stairs.
-
Before you can reach the stairs, the walls begin to shudder. A large hole is torn through the sides of both walls as armored skeletons emerge, the sound of their bones rattling echoing through the hallway.
-
cobalt continues moving, trying to push through and outrun the skeletons
-
More skeletons start pouring in. 2 of them block the stairway. A whispered groan passed through the gaping mouth of one of the skeletons in an attempt at a battle cry.
-
“Dang, thats a weak cry. Guess you can’t make one without lungs.” Cobalt attempts to ram the two skeletons, and push through.
Im assuming the skeletons are fairly brittle, due to the desert heat, and the fact that they need to be dry?
-
Correct
The skeletons crumble before you, but as you begin to ascend the stairs they start grabbing and biting you with their scattered remains, trying to slow you down so their brothers can catch up.
-
Cobalt shakes them off, hopefully.
Wait, how do skeletons work? What connects the bones?
-
MAGIC! No, seriously. Normally ligaments connect bones together but these skeletons have been resurrected with magic.
You manage to shake some of them off, but some still cling to you as you head up the stairs. The stairway is dimly lit by a few burning torches, and curves as it ascends to the next floor.
-
Cobalt attempts to tear off the skeletons, and keeps continuing.
