Facts, there's too many people in this game who want pvp to be an experience that pampers you with easy to use weapons and sbmm. So many players are unwilling to adapt their play style to different weapon types and strategies and instead of improving, they complain to the devs for a nerf.

IMHO Bastion counters shotguns and shotguns counter Bastion, that is literally the epitome of balanced 🙃

Most weapons have a counter and counter another weapon and some counter each other. Hand cannons counter autos because they can strafe peak and do 68 damage in an instant. Snipers and shotguns counter each other. Autos are good for holding down lanes. Pulses can peek fire just like hand cannons but it is harder to hit all the shots in their burst. Usually the main problem with the pvp is outliers like the mountaintop and things such as the Antaeus wards which were busted in the past.
