*The Epoch appears and I take a good look at the chaos to get an idea of what needs to be done.*

The Zaratan is advancing on the city, the outer walls are being assaulted by two purple worms and thousands of civilians are in danger either from falling houses or enemies from below. Take your pick!
-
Edited by Ace Night Owl: 9/8/2020 8:27:11 PM*I send a quick message to my lab.* “Anyone who can fight take a version of the Epoch to help civilians. I’ll try to slow this thing.” *A small group of Epochs appear and people get out and begin trying to help civilians into the ships.* *I move over to the elemental and attempt to get a scan of it!*
-
You save a lot of people, but more keep coming. Hundreds more have been buried or fell underground in the quake. The Zaratan is enormous, and radiates energy that matches the elemental plane of earth. His shell has proven impervious to all current attacks, and no one has gotten close due to the shockwaves whenever he takes a step.
-
*I fly up close and try to see any possible weakpoints. The Epochs continue to take as many people as possible, each ship can take 12-17*
-
The beast’s head looks heavily armored, but the neck and “knee” joints in the legs appear to have less covering. You save at least a hundred more people with your quick action, but less are coming now. Everyone that could run is already out in the streets, to save the others they’ll have to get dirty.
-
Edited by Ace Night Owl: 9/8/2020 8:45:48 PM“Well... lets go for the leg!” *I launch a laser from the Epoch at the joint in the leg to see if it does anything. If/when that fails I send large clusters of nanites in an attempt to drill through it!*
-
The laser hits, but lands a glancing blow as the leg moves. Before the nanites can begin to drill, earth around the joint moves with a kind of its own to protect it.
-
“Well... it can only take so much right? And if it covers the joint completely it can’t move, so this is still helping out.” *I launch more nanites at it to either overpower the moving earth or to force it to completely block its own joint.*
-
The earth is resilient, and resists your nanites attempts to stop it. Curiously, the Elder doesn’t seem to have slowed down any. He’s less than 300 feet from the outer wall now.
-
“Nothing to do here... might as well get on the ground.” *I land the Epoch, grab the prototype Model F armor, and search for any survivors.*
-
You hear cries for help from a sunken apartment complex. The earth opened in a large gash, and several houses slid into the hole.
-
*I run over there and hop into the hole to try and assist.*
-
Inside the hole is a blue two story house that slid off its foundation into the hole. You hear calls for help inside, saying they’re stuck.
-
*I go into the house and begin hunting for the source of the voices.*
-
Upon entering, you find a small family huddled under their table which has slid several feet. “Please, help us!”
-
“Of course, lets move.” *All the nanites from my regular armor move to protect them while we move and I use Model F to protect myself.*
-
As you help them out of the house, a rock crashes nearby. Two stone giants come into view, throwing rocks at each other like a game of dodgeball.
-
*I try to get the family to safety with the Epoch before getting into a fight.*
-
The family escapes to safety, and you’re free to engage. The two giants are... playing? With balls of concrete, destroying homes when they overshoot their target.
-
“Heya guys, could you stop?” *Model F is currently passive, so the arm cannons haven’t formed yet.*
-
The two don’t seem to hear you, and continue their game. Another boulder is sent flying into a home, and you hear cries for help from inside.
-
*I rush over, call upon the arm cannon to blow apart the boulder, and save the people inside.^
-
You destroy the boulder, but shards of the rock are sent flying into the house.
-
*I try to use the nanites that aren’t a part of my armor to shield the people inside!*
-
You save the people inside from the shrapnel, and discover it’s a couple hiding behind their couch, terrified.
