I walk out of a blue portal, my jaw dropping on finding Offtopic a mess.
English
-
The monster roars, and the ground continues to shake sporadically. You've got at least 2,000 civilians in danger of the approaching behemoth, another couple hundred being terrorized by rocky creatures/falling debris and a defense force badly outnumbered against the Zaratan and his purple worms. Take your pick!
-
I stand still for a moment, doing some quick math, and the chances of me taking on the Elder alone.
-
The odds don't look that great at all for a one on one engagement, but a coordinated strike with other operatives would raise those odds substantially.
-
Wrath walks out of a blue portal, and fires a test shot of starfire at the Elder.
-
The starfire lands harmlessly on the beast's shell, and it continues its advance towards the walls. He's roughly 500ft from the city limits by now and closing slowly, due to his size.
-
Wrath leaves, and I fly over to the city walls, and look for places I can shore up the defenses.
-
The outer wall seems ill-equipped to stop the Zaratan's onslaught, and though the gun emplacements are firing constantly at it, they don't seem to have any effect. The Purple worms are burrowing and destroying the walls with ease in front of where the Zaratan intends to enter.
-
"Let's go fishing." I turn to the worms, and I take out my sword, igniting the pressure enchantment.
-
The worms don't seem to notice you, and keep on burrowing. A smaller defense tower crumbles under their attack, and you spot several guards get crushed by the rubble.
-
I fly down to help the guards.
-
Any standing guards are now running from the worms, and they stumble as another shockwave hits, shaking the wall. The buried guards call for help, but their cries grow weaker after the quake.
-
I send multiple tentacles of Null after the worms, trying to drag them out of the ground.
-
The worms are really strong, and resist the tentacles. The wall around them shows clear signs of strain, and the number of still active turrets has dropped significantly.
-
I groan, and fire several bolts of Soul at the turrets, hopefully restarting them.
-
You manage to restart several of the turrets, but they don’t seem to have any effect on the Elder. The wall shakes beneath you, and sections of the walkway begin to slide off. The worms have almost completed their task.
-
I take my sword, and attempt to plunge it into a worm, enchantment activated.
-
Your blade sinks into the worms flesh, cutting through the tough scales. It howls in pain, and it lashes at you with its stinger!
-
I wave my hand, an Abyssilialite shield rising.
-
The stinger smashes against the shield, and as the beast writhes you’re thrown off. Angry, the beast snaps at you with its large, tooth filled maw.
-
"Shoot!" I try to make a blue shield around me.
-
You cast your shield, and the worm’s maw is stuck outside. It’s trying to swallow your barrier though, but can’t get past halfway.
-
I grimace, and make my shield explode outward, hopefully the detonation will either kill or stun it
morgun elskan mín
-
The shield expands inside the worms mouth, and it narrowly escapes having its jaw ripped off, releasing you. It raises up to its full height, then lunges into the ground, the long tail following behind.
-
I shoot after it, ready to grab it with tendrils of Null.
-
The worm leaves a 10ft diameter tunnel where it burrowed, and it looks like it’s headed back towards the wall.
