I haven't played the game much since they announced the would be taking away content in November. but I re-downloaded the game today and upon booting the game up it reminded me of this fact right at the login screen. I had forgotten.
They are taking away a ton of content and giving us only 2 new/old planets? WTF? and one of them (The Cosmodrome) is apparently a starting planet for new players, so isn't going to factor into veteran players game play?
I am assuming if you don't buy the expansion you are now left with waaaaay less content than the people that do buy it. Where do you get off taking away stuff I paid for and not compensating me?
I went and looked at the price of their DLC/expansion and its $90..... -blam!-ing NUTS you guys can shove it.
Every other game i play that has massive expansions (Guild Wars 2 to give 1 example) charged 29.99 for each expansion with a 3rd one coming next year which will cost the same. AND THE CONTENT WAS BETTER.
Where do you get off charging that much for something that I KNOW will not deliver on content quantity? Everything else I have bought for D2 and D1 I have always been disappointed at the price to content value. Its a complete -blam!-ing ripoff.
Warmind content takes up 5% of the total game. Last season only .3% of players touched it. That’s why it’s being removed
Cosmodrome will have new content, but it’s initial purpose will be for a “new” new light experience.
You didn’t buy the content. You bought a license to play the content, a license which specifically said bungie could add or remove content as they say for.
The expansions $40, not $90.
Sounds to me like Destiny just isn’t your game as I’m perfectly content with the expansions content drops, both past and future

Edited by MǼZ: 8/31/2020 11:46:09 AMoops my bad on the dlc price i had it selected to the deluxe edition by accident on steam yea thats a better price at 40$. im still not happy about losing all this content though. i tend not to buy expansions till after they go on sale and rely on old content to play till it does. now i will have nothing to do.

Yeah steam likes to do that. Idk why. You don’t have to be happy to lose content. I’m not, I’m just kind of indifferent to it. Like I said only .3% were playing Warmind which is 5% of the game. To put that into perspective, .3% is only 3,000 people where the 5% they were playing is taking up 5-10 gigs of space. Lastly you will have some stuff to do. Just not much old stuff. Most of your new stuff to do will involve the new light experience and the F2P stuff coming out of the DCV. I’m also pretty sure that in season 14 you’ll be getting VoG for free so if you’re not content with the season 12 launch, I’d say just come back and try it in season 14
