Bungie, in their extraordinarily short sighted wisdom thought it would be ok to make B.next without restraint.... They made a TON of bad moves here in the way the forums worked, and eventually over time, they have reverted back more or less toward what B.old was. When politics and religion were allowable, it was beyond ridiculous the amount of stupid bating that went on. The childishness was rampant. Now, since there are more and more social divisive issues going on world wide, they finally decided to pull the plug on those 2 topics, and the forum has become much less toxic. Other changes you may have missed that are no longer; -the white background.... worst move other than politics / religion -NO moderators. Only 'self' moderation tools. No one ever got banned the first year. P0rn everywhere. Yeah. Brilliant -All manner of off site connection links that always took over your posting every time the mouse ran over one, THAT NO ONE USED -The killed #Community, #Seventh Column, #Gaming forums Since then they've finally wised up, but it was a very slow, painful process.

Oh man. Bungie had it right back in the Halo era. I'm at least glad they realize what they had before worked and are going back to it. The 7th Column forum maybe gone, but the 7th column, at least the memories I have with them will live on. The 7th Column will always be my clan tag on MCC, and I say it has outlived Bungie in its own way. The 7th Column is more than just a Bungie thing now, its a symbol, a reminder of a time when things were simple and less complex within the Halo and Destiny community.

I wouldn't know. I wasn't here at that point. Maybe did they try allowing it only to see what a mistake that was and banned it again. Honestly it should remain banned. Flamewars are not fun from it.
