Something that has always bugged me in Destiny 2 is the armor for the Titan. It either looks god awful, huge, or pretty alright (when matched appropriately). I think a lot of it comes from how armor is designed more with 'Fantasy' in mind making it hard to mix and match. However, I really hope Bungie can return to the style of Titan D1 had. After all the Titan class is all about "Function over Form". I sound like a Destiny boomer but I don't need all them fancy gizmos and horns on my armor. I like stuff that is designed to keep me protected. That being said I'm pretty happy with my Titan's look after do finding some cool armor options, I just wish there were a few more that didn't make me look so W I D E.
Anyways, what are you other Titan's options on the armor design and the direction they're going? Do you prefer the old style of Titan (Basically Spartan armor tbh) or the more fantasy driven style they've been using recently?

Edited by xCHIEF247x: 8/18/2020 5:27:50 AMMy Titan armor isn’t terrible but I do agree that it is very hard to find good matches for armor. In Destiny 1 you could put any armor piece together and not look like a bag of potatoes. I do like the old design myself. I use the Saint-14 Helm I just think it is really cool and I don’t need anything too fancy for my Titan.

You think that’s bad? Try finding a good shader on Warlock....OH WAIT you CANT! Because of our fabrics in the robes Warlocks wear, the shaders apply the colors differently to us than to Hunters and Titans, whearas y’all look just fine and dandy wearing most shaders in the game.

Damn. I love the lore in this post. So interesting. Truly invigorating stuff!! Wait...there is no lore? What is it doing in the lore forum then??

7 RepliesTitan Capes!!! Give us Titan Capes!!

Man you think titans have it rough. My warlock is always either wearing a trenchcoat or a dress.

1 ReplyTitan needs Häkke to start making armour

2 RepliesIm excited to use the Terra Concord stuff again when we FINALLY get Transmog! Thatis the armor set thats in the Sentinel Subclass menu and I love the way it looks... THICCC😍

I’d just like a good mix of this years solstice armor (very flashy and fantasy but not built for an ogre to wear) and the Sunbreak eververse ornaments.
-
I like the season of arrivals armour and ornament style. The heavy armour with support frames and is secured by bolts and screws is a style I like. For Titans I think paldrens need to be of a size between large and small to give the image of strength. Armour with utility aesthetics are cool like ammo holders, sensors or lights. I do want more armour that makes the Titan look like a soldier with either heavy Sci-fi aesthetics or realistic futuristic soldier armour.

Wish they’d change the female menu pose too, just stood there like a stiff statue.
-
I love the armor set from the Saint 14 season. I think the rest are trash.

2 RepliesTitans seem to not have noticed that shoulder pads went out of style centuries ago, pre-Golden Age.
-
1 ReplyMy favorite D2 set is the Escalation Protocol set with ACD-0 Feedback Fence and golden trace shader.

there's one thing we titans need. LORD SALADIN'S MANTLE(cape whatever). he's a titan. come on bungie bro's. put your awesome boots on and the cool shades and just be like. yo gaurdians we appreciate you. so we did what nobody thought would ever happen. titan's get a saladin cape/mantle/cloak.

2 RepliesI just want a shader that’s really, really black. Just as black as you can get. I’m talking Spinal Tap, nun more black. And only Titans should get it. Hunters have the codpiece thing going on and Warlocks have their Liberace look. They can have that.
-
I’ve been saying it since D2 Beta. Titans looked like some sci-fi cyborg assassins in D1. Looks like space garbage men in D2.
-
It takes so much effort to look good.

3 RepliesGive us a helmet without a lot of extras but with a T-shape visor, for mandalorian builds.
-
Agreed, there are a few nice sets for titan but far too many just seem overly bulky, you'd think as time went on the armourers would be able to make it more sleek and form fitting. (Though the bulky stuff would make sense during the Red War due to a loss of technology)

keep it slim for me I can't stand huge looking armor which is why I don't have a male titan.

Edited by pancholoco10: 8/15/2020 6:45:18 PMI think you should change the boots, the helmet and put a good shader. And I like my Titan with old knight armor type, but there are other type of armor more futuristic that look really good like you chest piece
-
6 RepliesFor another take: Bungie should allow people to submit designs and then they make them into armor sets, via eververse or something. Think along the lines of Tennogen from warframe.
-
Titan D1 armor was better. Theres only a few good D2 armor sets. Bungie needs to bring back the old IB armor, Commando, and Mangonel.
-
Yup. Gundam/space marine armor designs rock, but there are so very very few of them in d2 for some reason. I’m not into looking like a gladiator, knight, samurai or clown. I would love an “armoured fighter jet” set to complete the look of lion ram-pants exotic legs.

3 RepliesAnd armor that has matching color palettes. I can't be the only one that hates the legs and gauntlets of the solstice gear, because one leg being a separate color is so ugly. Also...less helmets with the big bucket looking neck guards so that you can throw them on any chest piece that's not matching would be nice. I like the dawning armor...but that helmet I REALLY don't like.
