Credit for Silver spent on previous Solstice of Heroes "glows"

Background: Last Solstice of Heroes, I spent an inordinate number of hours grinding for my Majestic set (just like everyone else). Next, I spent over $20 of real money from a real job in the real world for some bad___ looking aesthetics to layer over the Majestic set. The next thing I know (perhaps the following season(?)), we are introduced to armor 2.0 and we all know what happened after that. Regardless of 2.0, nobody wants to grind to get the same SoH set again. Nobody wants to pay for the exact same aesthetics again. Proposed Solution: I respectfully ask for a credit at the Eververse store - in the amount of those 3 glow "bundles" - in order to purchase new items which we all know are primarily aesthetics, but oh well. Perhaps if Bungie took this action for myself and all affected players, we would be driven to play SoH this time around. Otherwise, you'll "catch me on the flipside".. Why It Works: If credits for the previous glow sets were issued, it wouldn't even hurt Bungie's bottom line, since digital goods cost next to nothing to sell for any company. Lastly, since it's a credit, Bungie is not giving out any real money at all. It is all digital, in their own store. The only argument against this I can imagine is that credits would cannibalize sales of the new glows. That is pathetic considering the money has already been spent and would remain spent (i.e., never leave Bungie's bank account) so long as the Silver is granted to all affected players rather than full refunds. • You paid for the "2019" glows. "2020" glows are totally different.

              • Bungie seem to think that us sheep will just keep spending cash on pointless sh¡t. It's time to say no. No more time in the game. No more cash in everworse. It's time for a strike, digital picket lines an all. It's time for a players revolution.

                • I agree with what you're saying, in principle, even if a lot of your reasoning is completely off the mark. It would be a nice gesture from Bungie to acknowledge they've handled the soltcie events poorly and as a result a lot of players feel frustrated that they wasted time, effort and in many cases money, for rewards that subsequently turned out to be far less worth it than they were made out to be. Does this mean they will do something? Of couse not, Bungie is consistently proving more and more that thier priorities lie far outside player satisfaction and engagement.

                  • You realize this season's ornaments will similarly only be able to be put on year 3 armor and chances are they'll do something to year 4 armor to make year 3 stuff comparatively unviable just like how solstice 2.0 armor was going to be "viable for the whole year"

                      • No. If you have a problem with that, stop buying stuff from Eververse. It is really that simple.

That is why myself and so many others I know in my clan and DISCORD will not be participating in this years event. We will collect materials and stuff for the DLC. But we don't have to participate to do that😉

                          • Bungie doesn’t really owe anyone anything I wouldn’t give any credit you got what you paid for

                          • Basically you’re asking for free stuff. You got exactly what you paid for... The glow this year is free anyway. And you can just transmog your old armor.

                            • I mean, I get the argument, but when has Bungie ever given a refund/credit/reimbursement for money spent on something that was later rectified? For that matter, when have most companies done this? (Legit curious!) Last year, we knew that they weren't armor 2.0 items. We asked that to be changed, but my guess is Solstice was done well before they started effective work on armor 2.0 so they didn't want to go back and fix that armor. Personally, I don't understand the desire to buy the glows. I don't like armor with glows, and that goes as far as the GoS armor, and those glows are minor. Just my opinion, but, you know.
