Preparing (Roleplay, CLOSED unless currently in RP)
As the sun begins to set, the Silver Stag Inn of Kleinton is surprisingly quiet for that time of day. Only two or three groups of people at the tables casually converse amongst themselves over supper while a lonely traveller sits at the counter with a cup of ale. The sweet smell of freshly baked bread drifts in from the kitchen into the hall, comfortably lit by candles and lanterns as the last of the sun’s light drips in from the western windows. A young woman, having recently started working for her father the innkeeper, gathers dirty dishes, leaving the redheaded and green-clad barmaid Cara McEwan to wipe the table down with a rag. And yet, despite the calmness in the atmosphere, Cara’s circular motions over the wooden surface are quick and stressed. Her eyes are focused intently on the table, as though pondering deeply.
The front door of the inn suddenly creaks open, and she looks up, pushing aside stray strands of hair from her braid out of her vision to see the newcomer.
[spoiler]*relieved sigh* Finally got this RP posted! Quite a bit of info to go over, here... apologies!
Canonically, this takes place a little over two weeks ago. This is also an opportunity to “sign up” for the final battle between Skye and Errol. Just to make it easier for me to manage that RP, there are five (maybe six) spots to take, but you have to talk to Skye about it. If you don’t ask Cara to take you to her, she may mention her in conversation. Simply because this is a delicate situation for Skye, keep in mind she will be careful in who she chooses to join her, whether help is offered or she asks for help. I plan that final battle to take place in about a week and a half, because of schedules I need to figure out before then.
If you aren’t interested in talking to Skye, or at least about the battle, feel free to just hang out at the inn, have a drink or a hot meal (or both!) and socialize with others.
