It's not wasting money if you're enjoying yourself. You wouldn't say someone who bought their own ball but still paid to go bowling every week with their bowling team was "wasting money," would you? And COVID aside they're pretty good with regular updates, special events, and new content. For perspective, to buy [i]ESO[/i] with all expansions and DLC would cost you just over US$315. That's [i]FFXIV[/i] (the full game) + 17 months worth of subscriptions.

Edited by Fate: 7/22/2020 8:25:19 PMBut the true reason why I refuse to buy a final fantasy subscription is because I spend too much money on games as it is lol Which I why I’m trying to cut back on it I’ve dumped thousands into it over the years That’s the real reason I wish I used that money to go on a trip around the world instead Would have been a fun vacation oh well 😔 So I’m trying to cut back my spending as much as possible

FFXIV subscription yes, PS+ no. Console players don't pay anything more than PC players.
