Skye walks in. She still has her crutch, but she seems to be relying on it less. She approaches the bar and sits at a stool. Her eyes glance up at the sign on the wall curiously.

Skye nods and rubs the back of her neck, unsure of how to respond to such a solemn subject. Then she adjusts herself to a more comfortable position in her seat. “I learned a neat new trick. Take a look at this..“ She holds up her hands, and an orb suddenly appears hovering over them. It shines dimly with a pale blue light.
-
“Whoa! What does it do!” Blaze says, obviously wanting to change the subject.
-
Skye shrugs a little as the orb floats higher and circles around before returning to its place above her hands. “It really just gives off light and floats around. It’s pretty fun, though. I learned a few other tricks in one of the universes we visited, as well.”
-
“Cool!”
-
The orb soon disappears. “It is pretty neat. I never would have thought I’d get into magic. Of course I don’t consider myself very good at it, but...” She looks to see if Foxglove is still with them.
-
She is inspecting some plants around the bar.
-
Skye leans in and whispers, “So how’s your project going? I’m guessing you’ve gotten pretty far if you’ve only given yourself a couple hour’s sleep every night.”
-
“Yeah. Night the easiest time to work for obvious reasons. Kills my sleep schedule, though.”
-
“I bet. I hope you get some rest soon, though. When do you think it’ll be done?”
-
“Maybe.....a week or two?” It’s hard to estemate because I’m doing this by myself, and it’s a nicely sized house.”
I might actually make Blaze’s and Fox’s reactions their own story!
-
Skye had started to pick up her burger, but she stops before she could take a bite and lowers it again. An expression of concern and surprise grows on her face. “All by yourself? Andrew’s cross, that’s... that’s definitely a lot of work.”
That would be cool! I’d like to see that.
-
“Definitely, but I’m making due! Least it’s a safe place to make it.”
-
“Oh, that’s good. With all the craziness that happens in Offtopic, it would be terrible if something ruined it.”
-
“Yeah luckily where I’m building is......perfectly safe.”
-
She looks at Blaze, and her brow twitches at the pause. “Is there something in particular that you’re trying to stay safe from?”
-
“Nope.....well being safe from Dink is nice, but nothing in particular.”
-
“Ah, all right. And has Fox’s plant collection extended? I’d bet your ship looks like a rainforest by now.”
-
“Yeah.....there was an incident with one, started to eat blood and sing musical numbers, but we killed it.”
-
She blinks. “That’s... strange. I’m glad it’s gone!”
-
“Yup! What have you been up to?”
-
Skye shrugs. “I mean... the usual. Working on my bow and trying to rest so that I heal faster. Oh!” She reaches into the pocket of her hoodie to pull out the little radio Blaze had given her. It looks the same as when she received it, only there was a small dent in on of the corners. “I-I found it and was able to fix it up... I figured I’d return it.”

-
Her gaze falls on it once more. She seems a little embarrassed. “Uh... yeah, I guess so. I hope I won’t have another near-death experience any time soon, though.”
-
“That is a preferable option.” Blaze says. “So, want some scotch?”
-
She smiles in thanks but shakes her head. “I think I’ll finish my food, first. It looks really good.”
