Ghost personalities.
This may have been covered extensively and if I has I apologize and will remove my post.
I was thinking today about the differences between the users ghost and ghosts like Sagira. Are the ghosts blank shells that only obtain a personality from the guardian they resurrect? If they come preprogrammed with a personality then it would be safe to say that the traveler thinks like or has the ability to just simulate human thought and emotion perfectly. Which isn’t a stretch being that it can remake entire worlds.
Is there any lore regarding a ghost who hasn’t yet found a guardian but has had preexisting personality?

As KS said, Ghosts aren’t actually just mechanical little machines. They are actual beings of Light. Pure consciousness, that over time built their mechanical body around the Light.

2 RepliesGhosts are sparks of Light, actual living consciousnesses. The mechanical shells are vessels they built after being birthed. They aren’t programmed. Every Ghost is its own person and has its own personality. 1 ReplyI believe there was a lore entry in forsaken talking about a ghost called pulled pork. Hes actually uldrens ghost now but an entry talked about how it was optimistic and such and this was before uldren even died.

Ita hinted at, that ghost are actually dead humans the traveler resurrected and turn into little machines that can disperse paracausal energy. I wonder if ghosts are actually all the people who were killed by the darkness during the collapse.

I mean, Ghosts ain’t exactly machines, well not like the ones we know anyway. They’re sparks of light that build a shell outa scrap they find on their journey for their Lightbearer to protect them on the way. So, they can’t have something [i]programmed[/i] into them in a robotic sense.

They’re choice of guardian is predetermined by the traveler and they spend their lives looking for the right one, so they are probably set up to complement them. The only ghost that chose to revive a human they didn’t feel that the traveler chose for them was the one who revived the supposed rat king.

I just want a hot female voice for my ghost so I don’t have my Nolanbot or Dinklebot (whicheveroneitiscurrently) in a female’s ghost shell. (Sagira’s shell)

Ghosts pretty much have their own personalities, though I believe they often look for Guardians who are their foils.
