It doesn’t matter, hence the need to log in to your Microsoft account after launching from Steam.

It should not matter. I can't see why it would. Steam is just a marketplace.

Touché. If I was to install should I go ahead and install all 3 (CE, 2, Reach?) or is one more likely than the others?
