How much of that vaulted content do you actually play? I can understand the argument about Leviathan activities going away, but they've been labeled as legacy content now and gear awarded from them are getting sunsetted come next season.
I've been playing release and I honestly have not cared about Mars, Io, Mercury, or Titan(may as well vault Titan since they it's a wasted potential) for a long time now. I hate Mars because of Resonate stems that I can't delete if I don't have 4, Io is just pure boredom, Mercury is just pointless, and Titan isn't gonna get an explorable Arcology.
The point is, the game is getting too massive and a large chunk of the game has become obsolete and irrelevant. Game download size plays a major role in one's decision to download a game, and I'm sure there are potential players out there who are waiting for the game to reduce in size before giving it a try.

I am going to miss Titan. It is the planet I most enjoy going to for Patrol and when it is the flashpoint.

there is so much content that people put on pedestals that I just dont understand. People artificially attach themselves to certain things just because it's being taken away. I remember after forsaken when d3 was being talked about and so many people were losing thier minds over it because it would be starting over. Bungie took a huge risk in listening to that and evolving d2 instead of starting from scratch so that people can keep thier hordes of unused loot. There are so many things in this game that after 3 years give me nausea from how much ive experienced the same thing over and over again. And on a positive note it will drive in alot of NEW PLAYERS if there is new and refined content. the game just needs a new start and thier approach this far isnt bad imo
