Not really. I usually play a altmer wizard with very little health and a whole lot of magic. Like a traditional wizard in most roleplaying games.

Not me. Sneaking is overrated. Either sword and board Redguard for amazing tanking ability or full-blown D&D-style Altmer wizard with skills in every category except Destruction. [i]Either way, play on one of the harder difficulties and both of those builds become extraordinarily fun to play.[/i]

I was a battlemage my first run, and usually go pure mage on subsequent runs. Magic is the best!

I would agree that the arcane arts is preferable to other such means of combat. But the true use of the arcane is to study the universe around us.

I still play a battlemage, but with some sneak. When I get into conflict, I have a healing or offensive spell in my left hand and a sword in my right.

On my first run it was mostly conjuration. Summon sword/bow + atronach. Eventually I dropped the atronachs in favor of zombies, and dropped the summoned weapons in favor of fire spells (I want to use ice, but everything resists it...). For a while I still wore armor, though, before eventually dropping that for flesh spells, too. That being said, I did often still sneak, just because free level ups. I never actually used sneak attacks, though, instead favoring a fireball to the face!

I never really used the nightingale armor much. My highest level character and the one I usually play has always used heavy armor and a great axe like a true warrior.

The armor... the stealthy play style... its hard to break from... but I did it. I now like to run a Heavy Armor 2 Handed Axe build LIKE A TRUE NORD! Ive been doing that with a lot of game to be honest. Moving away from the stealthy edging guy and over to the big bulky non stealthy guy 😂 Have you seen season 7 of Star Wars The Clone Wars? Specifically the Bad Batch episodes? Yeah... you know Wrecker? Thats what I go for now😂
