Problem is that he got only 1 type powerful gear. And if he`s light on others is 1023(he says, that they aren`t but just used a 1023 for calculations), so he have: 7 gear pieces at 1023 and 1 at 1030. According calculations, his current light level is 1023,875. So it isn`t 1024 and he can`t get a 1024 piece from that vendor.

So that is 7 pieces gear at 1022 or below. 1030 boots with all other gear at 1022 would make him 1023. So they could either use a vendor or select weapons or armor using the umbral engrams to increase his over all light

But you aren't offering a solution, you are offering a work around. Those items very well be the gloves again for all he knows 😂

Just trying help the poster level up. Yes they may be but the odds are in his favour to get the 7 other pieces they require

If the odds were ever in our favour, there wouldnt be "had to be there moment" such as forever 29. This is even acknowledged by Bungie and drop protection introduced several times. I don't mind the grinding for awesome gear, but taking a step back every year on the same issue which they have already taken a step forward on is annoying and affects the trust of some customers

The forever 29 was the opposite and the odds were against players that required only 1 piece.
