It's always had streaks to progress in glory. Losses don't totally reset streaks, it's way easier than ever before. If it's too tough, maybe it's time to stop. Many people have made it there before you and will after you, so I think it's fine as is.
To play solo, you need lots of skill and patience, to endure team mate issues and to carry team mates, doesn't sound like you have it.

Except match making is designed to keep you at a 50/50 win lose ratio. Kinda hard to get a steak going when you’re purposely put in an un winnable game simply for the sake of “skill based match making”.
