The dwarf Dain Dunnaxe arrives at the outskirts of the town with his battle axe in hand. He looks around to see where he can help out.
English
-
You arrive to find most of the village outskirts have been overrun, and the survivors are fortifying main street. A river cuts around the town, and a few guards are guarding the two bridges. They don't seem very well equipped to defend from the hundreds of zombies headed their way. Currently, the bridges are giving way. Vessel is helping one, and Dally is helping to fortify main street.
-
Dain quickly goes to the other bridge to help out there, even though there might not be much his battle axe can do against the undead.
-
Blaze has arrived to help at this bridge, and just used a lightning spell to make some space for the line of defense. The zombies seem to be retreating...
-
“And I didn’t even get to swing me axe once, or get to dm a dwarven battle wedge like me great grandpa taught me to!” With that the dwarf heads after the zombies, getting ready to swing his axe and see if he can take some out whilst they retreat.
-
The zombies don't notice you running up behind, and the last ones are almost off the bridge. (About a 30 foot sprint)
-
“I can take some of em.” As quietly as a dwarf can he sprints up to the nearest one and swings his axe down at its next.
-
The axe cleaves right through the undead's neck, and the head flies into the water below. The rest have entered the fog, and the smell is nauseating.
-
“Well I got one of em!” The dwarf looks off into the fog then turns back to the bridge to see if it or anywhere else needs help.
-
The dwarven guards(I might have missed that detail, my bad) tell you more zombies have been spotted from the woods on the other side of town. The other bridge has been secured as well.
-
“Ahh more dwarfs in this land! I’ll head there at once.” After making sure the zombies won’t come back the dwarfs heads to the woods where the zombies are supposedly coming from.
-
A few heroes are here already, chopping and firing at the masses. They're conveniently marching in groups of 5 or 6.
-
The dwarf will charge one of the groups from the side, swinging his axe in a wide horizontal swing.
-
You hit two in your swing, sending them flying into their allies. They slowly get back up, but another claws at your arm during your backswing.
-
The dwarf backs up and brings his axe across his body defensively, knowing his armor won’t last for long.
-
You dodge the scratch, and hear another group growl as the move to encircle you.
-
The dwarf jabs the axe at the zombie who tried to hit him then backs up and looks around to see how many are surrounding him.
-
Your attack goes short, but you evade any counterattacks. About 8 zombies are in proximity to you, but have not fully enclosed yet.
-
*The dwarf attacks again, swinging at the legs of the undead.*
-
You hit one, shattering the kneecap. The others move in, and two swing at you. One lands a scratch along your forearm, and the other misses you entirely.
-
Dain swings horizontally at all three of them to the and push the other two back, then swings upwards at the first one.
-
You send two back, but miss the upswing. An elf on a horse comes charging to your aid, attracting the zombies attention. He knocks down two, but the remaining zombies move to the two of you.
-
“Of corse, saves by a stinkin’ elf, and not just any elf, it’s ye! I had this situation under control with these durned besties.” He swings it back down again at the zombie in his right, stepping that direction to get away from the one on his left.
-
In between his charges the elf will speak. “Not just any common dwarf I had to save, for indeed I did save you, but it had to be my old friend Dain. How many beast hath thou fell tonight?”
-
“Four or five O’ them besties, elf!”
-
“Four or five? It’s not a big number to count to. Let’s say four.” The elf says with a smile.
