I love seeing all the people who recently "got good" with the Hard Light buff defending it as balanced.
It's about as balanced as Lunas, Not Forgotten and Recluse where before all these people who couldn't get them came to the forums in droves crying.

This.

The only thing hardlight needs changed is its bounce damage bonus, either replace it with something different or tone it down to 125-150% Its range isnt an issue, or the stability.
-
If they leave hard light alone and bring it's range in line, you'll start seeing more variety among auto rifles. The ricochet rounds aren't the issue. It's the fact that you can kill someone from scout rifle ranges if you're a good shot.
-
The thing is your target has to be completely oblivious to being shot st those ranges unless you're just cleaning up a kill. I dont see bringing its range in line to make it any worse, as that's barely what it's used for. I may take a few shots at a sniper to flinch him but it's not a serious attempt at a kill.
-
the thing is Lunas and not forgotten you needed to be accurate and land heads and recluse you were in shotgun range. Each Meta has its good and bad
-
It is ridiculously easy to hit head shots with Lunas and with Recluse you could get an easy double even if two people were pushing you? Have you ever even played with any of those weapons?
-
yes i have them both i have all crucible pinnacle weapons except the claymore broadsword and NF but NF is similar to Lunas Howl just looks cooler and slight more range. Lunas Howl is very easy to land crits but when it comes down to human error which is pretty common like if a guy is spam crouching or sliding in and out a quick snipe or shotgun slide it really isnt bad. Im pretty sure people were having a hard time deciding wether mindbenders or Lunas Howl. When recluse dropped i paired it with chaperone and it wasnt bad i went on sprees. But when it came down to it i usually got shotgun slid. Now thats not to say that the TTK on recluse was over the top. The recluse nerf was necesarry it was an easy weapon to get compared to other Pinnacle weapons and its forgiveness is extreme and you definately werent thinking twice about wether it was this random SMG or the recluse. The Lunas Howl nerf was unnecessary in my opinion but if they ever decide to add an exotic with the same pre nerf function i bet id use it. They could have also atleast made it so that in dealt maybe a slight bit more crit damage on magnificent howl perk proc.

No meta weapon has been balanced, autos aren’t even that powerful compared to other meta weapons anyway and not hard to challange
-
Saying they aren't that powerful compared to other meta weapons isn't a very objective statement. That may be the case in your quick play lobbies with sbmm protecting you so you never have to face a skilled player (key word skilled) you're probably right. Try playing a 3 stack all using Hard Light at 4-5k glory in comp on PC and tell me the same. The fact that I could just slap on a Hard Light the other day and drop 42 and almost a 5 efficiency in control without any effort or breaking a sweat.... well those people might argue your opinion.

“PC”. Pc is very different to console
-
Is it? I assure you I could hop on my xbox and do the same. Before you go the "no recoil on PC" route, don't because it's not true. You still have to manage and control recoil. Besides, I promise you I could turn on my xbox and get the same results there.
-
Its not that accurate, like i mean its not even hard to counter?
-
Wait? You're at 92 valor this season and 0 glory..... .... what have you played, like 3 games of PvP this season since the AR buffs? I tell you what, play Iron Banner next week, which I expect to be like Pink Floyd's laser light show and then come back and tell me how easily you countered it. Haha.
-
No No hes got a point PC and console are much different in PC your sensitivity can make quick turns and you have less flinch and recoil. In console they did change the recoil part though.
-
There's still flinch and recoil on PC and you still have to manage it. It just seems less severe because you can open up your field of view. As far as sensitivity, again... that's a keyboard and mouse vs controller issue. If you get an adapter and play K & M on console you can do the same thing.
-
hmm ok more of a console guy havent made a switch.
-
I know when you watch pc play on YouTube and twitch it just looks like PC is totally different but trust me it's still there. It's just easier to control recoil with a mouse.

Edited by Guardian: 3/24/2020 1:37:49 AMI know I know i play with hand cannons all the time its easy on console too. Talking about handcannons though they should buff there optimal range to be competitive against hard light and other autos then maybe the meta would change a bit. Also they should buff 150 HC to deal 72 per crits and 140 to deal 75 per crit making 140 HC 2 tap with kill clip and make ace of spades have 3 memento mori instead of 6. Then Turn 110 handcannons to 130 RPM handcannons slight less recoil but slight and same damage as when they were 110.
