Because of the cheating situation, which has been present in comp since Shadowkeep when the game first went free to play, it is very clear that trials being part of new light is a mistake.
The way things are now it is very easy to get away with cheating if you want to. Make an account and profit, a couple weeks later maybe you get banned. Make a new account for free. If you get IP banned, VPN or get your IP changed. If you get HWID banned you can spoof it. None of this is hard and lets people who want to cheat be able to do it very easily.
This is big enough of a problem in comp. In trials cheating will be WAY worse, considering the paid account recoveries you can do and the rewards on the line.
I do not believe you should need to buy season of the worthy. Charging for content that we paid for 5 ears ago sounds like a PR nightmare and I can already see the complaints. But I believe you should need to have bought SOMETHING in order to have access to trials, be it a dlc or a season. I dont know what the specific parameters would be but I know for a fact that this,
[REDACTED]
Should not be in trials.

I have removed the links as shaming players is against the code of conduct.

Edited by Malygos: 3/2/2020 7:37:40 PMWe should be thanking cheaters at this point bungie have always worked on the same formula getting ANTICHEAT won't be any different. Something's totally -blam!-ed in game People make videos Streamers start talking about it Gaming news sites pick it up Bungie gets a -blam!- ton of bad press It gets fixed They don't care that we tell them for months on end it's only when it become a meme how bad the game is does it get fixed
-
Hey, but at least Bungie gets to manage a bunch of "burner" accounts that don't buy silver. LMAO
-
They need all the sheep they can find to feed the streamers and top 1% though, to get views, and keep PvP players happy. I'm not knocking PvP players, they've been ignore for a long time now. Bungie said they retired trials to fix it and improve and make better, what has been changed really? They just brought it back in hopes that they can please a small portion (dediciated) of the player base to stop losing players, so they can say they are listening to the community. With the PC cheating and issues with MM and connections, and think fast that they made no improvements, I think it'll die quickly like the rest of the game.

Bungee doesn’t really care about player experience. The one and only true goal of Bungie is to get as many people to visit eververse. Trials is the tool being used to get players to come back to the game for “free” to then spend money on the eververse. They don’t care about cheaters or players. The care about money and how to make it. If the game suffers that is a very small price to pay in their eyes. Words are one thing and actions are another. But actions dictate the truth and words are used for lies.

1 ReplyI think someone said there is gonna be a very long quest line and a few different things we will need to do before unlocking trials. This way people will have to do these things on every account they make before jumping into trials. Although yes, there will still be allot of cheat.s.
-
4 RepliesThey also need to grind to at least 950 light to stand a chance no?

2 RepliesPC Cheater Race FTW!
