Remove the artifact from Crucible
Since Trials is back, I can see the infinite power benefit of the artifact is going to be a problem.
Edit: We are simply asking for a cap, or the Artifact to be disabled in Trials specifically. Please do not take it out of context.
Edit 2: @thislukesmith tweeted Power Cap will be temporarily disabled for Trials until they can do a deep dive into it 😊

The switch from CBMM to SBMM in the comp playlist completely transformed PvP into an enjoyable experience. Who knew playing against people of similar skill would be so much more fun than playing against Joe Q. Unbroken and the Sweaty Try-Hards. Furthermore, I do like artifact mods and I do like power level advantage in Iron Banner. I feel like bringing Trials back is an olive branch to the niche, highly skilled PvP crowd who miss the way things used to be (curb-stomping average joe's). I say let the sweats have Trials the way they want it to be. Most of us won't be playing it anyway.

3 RepliesThere will most likely be a light level cap sometime down the line because of the artifact. Removing it altogether is asking tor too much imo. Trials is not even out yet and the forum is oozing with toxicity.

My wife and I have been saying this for a while. Light enabled crucible is perfectly fine, but the artifact bonus is NOT.

Yeah get the artifact and it's cheap perks outta PVP. It has the possibility to benefit one class over others so that alone should exclude it as an option.

I'm asking for power-levels to not be enabled in Trials. It's bad enough in Iron Banner, but it's tolarable since it's not an event masked under the guise of competative contest like Trials. I also think that the Artifact mods should be disabled aswell during trials.

1 ReplyIt is pretty obvious, why Bungie will NOT take it out: unlimited LL-advanteges in Trials means, that everyone who wants to succeed in PvP will have to grind EP like hell... That is just another method from Bungie, to force everyone in the same old activities over and over again…

I'm good either way, I understand bungies' point of view, and the point of view of players that want and don't want the artifact power level enabled. The one thing I don't get is the point of view of all of those players complaining about power level (with or without considering the artifact, i.e. power level disabled and/or no gain from the artifact), and they don't even have 1 char. at 950 base power ! To all of those players, all I can say is play the game instead of complaining on the forum.

I constantly buy the random Crucible bounties from Shaxx, and I still barely gain any XP progress.
