I didn’t like static rolls because it made some weapons completely obsolete. But I can see were you’re coming from that people were on a level playing field.

If there were static rolls, would it open up the possibility for Bungie to get creative and release weapons with cool and interesting rolls often?

I think that with static rolls we could introduce new and interesting perk combinations, a good example of this is with the ritual weapons as they feature some pretty interesting static rolls. Though I don’t think static rolls would give bungie more of a possibility to create new perks for weapons or armor.
