I'm curious why Osiris is written as believing that "the Tower looks at you and sees a God..." since I'm certain Zalava doesn't see it that way, Ikora and Shaxx I don't think we've had official recounts toward Rasputin. Everyone else doesn't really matter when it comes to official business. I doubt the Guardian sees Rasputin as a 'God'. For goodness sake we had to come to his rescue in Warmind a few times. He couldn't even shove off a few Cabal that were intruding on his front door. It just sounds like a strange line that doesn't sound quite like it fits.
I'm interested in what exactly Osiris saw in the Infinite Forest that made him leave though and confront Rasputin.
I've had this nagging thought in my head for a while - it really probably isn't true - but what if Rasputin was made in the image of the traveller, and so it shares the traveller's line of thought and personality. I wonder if its a coincidence that in his mind-lab Rasputin in represented as a sphere with fluctuating parts surrounding it. Basically, what if Rasputin was the Traveller's way of trying to escape?

Rasputin was built before the Traveler ever came to Sol. There were 4 That went to Mars to find the Traveler , Rasputin was the Computer controlling the shuttle. It was once we got the gifts CB made Rasputin Better.

Ah I see. Thank you!

That would require the Traveler to have definite thought and personality, neither of which it is described to have, at least not in an obvious manner like Rasputin does.

Bungie have incorporated the Lore Community’s viewpoints into the views of Guardians before with Fallen sympathisers and Calus Loyalists. Some of us do view Rasputin as this All-seeing Eye in the system.

I'm mean omnipresence does not always equate a 'godlike' status though. I just think the use of the word 'god' is a bit out of place. I do like the incorporation of community stances as in-game 'guardian' stances though.
