Nope. Apparently that's a requirement? Looks like I'll never get any shards then. I can defeat all champions just fine, but I doubt I'll ever get to 980.

Shards only drop in 980s, it literally says. Then, getting platinum rewards increases drop chance of stuff greatly

I literally don't pay attention to the reward requirements beyond what I'm capable of playing, which after how long now and I still haven't bested 980? I don't really care, I just think the game is artificially inflated to buy the devs more time for other things.
