They don't link? Wasn't that the whole point of these left & right sparrows??

No they dont link. I saw the trailer after 10 mins of searching the net and they just drove next to each other.

Another missed opportunity... they could have had one player drive it and one being able to shoot.

Now that i think on it more. if they did add this in the current sandbox it doesnt hold much value but, if they made like a pvp or gambit mode were u can drive your fireteam around and take objectives would be cool. Be cooler if we can get weapons on mounts in that mode too.

They had this in D1. Big maps with vehicles, turrets, lots of heavy and sparrows enabled. It was actually pretty fun.

Just adding the drive/shoot combo to basic patrol would be super fun to play around with -- and it wouldn't really upset the play balance (anymore than being able to steal a Pike already does).
