Infinite Flights to the Tower - Fix your Game!
This is beyond stupid, I’ve been “flying” 5 minutes to get to the Tower. Does Tess have a big sale pending so we can’t use your precious server time? Or is this one more very lame attempt to boost your “play numbers”?
It’s GARBAGE.

Has anyone else noticed that ever since the update, not only does it wait until all the guardians loading in appear at the same time, but there's a LOT more guardians in the tower at once now? Didn't it use to be like max 16? I've seen upwards of 30 people now. On top of the Obelisk and everything else in the tower. There's a lot more happening at once and a lot more to display. Which I assume is causing the ridiculous load times.

Imagine that one guy who's getting kicks and thrills by being that one guy with a hard drive and repeatedly opening and closing his inventory and bounty tabs just to cause everyone else to load in slowly. They are having the time of their lives right now! Oh Man!

People were complaining about sitting at a black screen before they loaded in. Bungie fixed it! Now we’re sitting at a screen that moves. Jeez what else do you people want?

4 RepliesSo I have Destiny 2 installed on all three platforms, everything is wired network, no WiFi. On my PC Destiny running off my NVMe game drive, my XBO-X it's off my 2TB SSD, and my PS4 Pro it's on a 1TB SSD. My results based on 3 trips to the tower on each platform fastest to slowest: PC -> 0:30 -> 0:44 -> 1:21 XBO-X -> 0:46 -> 1:13 -> 1:48 PS4 Pro -> 2:43 -> 2:48 -> 3:17 My worst results by far were on my PS4 Pro, not sure what the deal is there but the extra time is very noticeable. The only think I can say is it was more consistent than the others. On my Xbox One X & my PC my times to the tower more than doubled from the best to the worst. That said the worst was still better than the best on PS4. Bungie has some work to do figuring this crap out. There might be something happening on PSN tonight, I'm doing some game updates and they're painfully slow too. Not sure if that would have any impact on it though.

The reason for the long flight to the tower is the Obelisk, they need to put it on a quiet planet

What’s beyond stupid is we spawn in to orbit.... why do t we spawn in the tower from the start... makes sense no? You can go anywhere from the tower anyway

2 RepliesI'm on Samsung SSD on xbox X. Seems like the tower load time is batching us together with other people. So the person with the slowest hard drive holds everyone up. I've also noticed this with all planets in a fireteam. Previous to last update I would load 60 seconds ahead of my teammate who uses OG Xbox One internal HDD. Now we both load in at the exact same time (it makes me wait for him). Not pleased.

I agree that there are problems with the servers this season in relation to loadings, but whoever uses an ssd will always have a more fluid game than in hdd, and it never took me 5 minutes to get down in the tower. Problems with servers added to the outdated technology of hdd's, the game is over 100gb, so nothing more sensible a hardware update, and luckily the xbox one provides us with that. Sorry but i use google tradutor

It’s GARBAGE.[/quote] It's not the games fault, this happens only when someone in the lobby in the tower (or more than 1 person) has such shit internet (Spain, UK, Portugal, etc) that in causes everyone else's p2p connection to it to stall It's like how sometimes if you join someone in a raid and the boss and certain things haven't spawned in, like Insurrection Prime for example.. it's always funny spawning in only for there to be no boss and no electric fields on the lower ends of the map XD

2 RepliesI think the tower flights uses the same code as the crucible flights and now that they're making everyone wait until the last person loads in for PvP, we have to wait for clusters of people to fly into the tower together. I can't help but notice I land with a group of people at the same time and the timing fits in with the crucible change. I think we need to go back to black screen crucible, I'd rather stare at one of those than wait 4 minutes to fly into the tower.
