Empyrean Donation - 100 Units every 4 seconds?
The Title Says it All.
I had almost 30,000 Fractaline units. To dump all those in will take 20 minutes at 100 units per press if I hold each press perfectly 4 seconds and start the next.
Are you really this short sighted? You couldn't have maybe more than 1 choice like 500 or 1,000 units? You did for the planetary Sundials, why not here?
Sad really that you put so little thought and effort into the only game your studio has and continually waste our time doing even more meaningless tasks than usual.
Edit: What a lot of you do not understand is that Each reset, without doing anything, I will now receive 10,100 Fractalines (that's 1.1 Inventory Stacks per week). The higher the level of your combined Obelisks, the more Fractalines you now receive each reset.
I'm to the point now, I'll just delete Stacks of them rather than contributing them, because it's faster and less of a waste of my time. However, those are fractalines that will not be added to the total and for those of you who don't have time to grind them, this would have helped us hit the maximum sooner.
Bungie does not respect my time or effort in helping the common goal.
Edit 2: And where are our caring and concerned Community Managers Deej and Cozomo on this topic? Why are they not here telling us "Top Men are working on it"?

1 ReplyThe whole reason for this community event is to get rid of the excess. They did this before with glimmer, resources, shaders, and gun smith mats because ppl would begin to have so much there wasn’t any need for it. But they simply can’t get rid of it because they coded it into the season (game). It’s just a way to tidy up an item before it gets out of hand or they find a way to take better control of released content excess.

2 RepliesI poured my 15k back in, and will pour my 22.5k back in next week. (on my main account) Then for 3 weeks I'll have to dump 33,750 in 100 at a time. Some stupidly morbid part of me wants the emblem to say I donated over 100k. That's it, all this for a meaningless number on an emblem that I probably won't even use once something cooler comes out next season. I should probably go talk to a psychologist, really. I know this is irrational and I'm doing it anyways.

17 RepliesIt's very simple... You chose to grind your way to 30.000 fractalines. Nobody made you do it. Not the game, not Bungie, not the community. That amount is absurd in the first place and I'm pretty certain it doesn't represent the vast majority of the player base. Next, you chose that the mechanic to donate your absurd amount of fractalines is not suited to your needs and complain about it on a public forum, where (again) the vast majority won't have that problem, because they play the game in a normal way. Don't you think it's a little selfish to ask for a change, that only caters to people who choose to put a ridiculous and extreme amount of effort into this? Most of us are perfectly fine with the mechanic and we are happy to do the 4 weapon bounties at the same time, at a normal pace, hoping for that god roll we've had our eyes on and contributing to the community event. TL;DR: Take a chill pill, mate.

I don’t mind right now because you can use the donation to complete the weapon bounties and farm god rolls on the sundial weapons. I have had really bad luck trying to get the ones I really wanted and now I have the almost guaranteed chance to get a god roll for each one.

i dont even bother with donating em, i use all of my bonus fracts to get armor from the obelisks, why spending my 50k on uh... nothings? 50k = 250 possible chances on high stat armor

I see many posts complaining about this and yet many people are still donating. Nothing meaningful is going to be locked behind a community event. If they spent the time to develop content they are not going not release it.

1 ReplyYeah, it's brutal. Luckily I only had 6900 to donate because I'm not a total loser( says the guy who deleted a D1 character last week so I could replay the entirety of D1 and get a fresh take on which game is better). Spoiler alert: D1 is better by far. It was close until I got to TTK, but the Taken King missions were really great. Rise of Iron was terrible (D2 current state bad), but the QoL in Y3 was really good.

2 RepliesI have a hard time believing you have 30k just because i had 80 ranks about a total of 25k but thats because i ranked up my obelisk if you saved all of yours then maybe you should have around at most 20k which i donated 10k and took a few minutes so i don't know why your complaining when your already wasting time on a game instead of real world things.

I'm only in it for the emblem and a couple random rolls. Once that's accomplished or I'm just downright tired of it, I'm going to an Obelisk and farming shards and cores. Nobody is forcing you to donate all those cores and waste all that time on a video game. Though, sometimes I'm amazed how blatantly bad design choices completely clear the chain of command and make it into the game.

people asking for more ways to donate. i'm all for it. except.... can't imagine what it would do to load times at the tower considering how horrid they've gotten recently. imagine multiple people dropping 1k-5k at a time and the server having to break it down and figure out rewards and what-not. LOL no thanks.
