If this emperor is good of heart, and leads his people to peace, I would gladly enter into an alliance with him.
But if he engages in senseless war, disposes of lives and rights as he sees fits, and commits outrages against those who cannot defend themselves...
We will have a much, much less courteous meeting.

We have only ever waged war in self defense. To start a war with the Bubbies is to put your entire species at risk. We have brought about the extinction of multiple races because they made the poor decision to start a meaningless war. We aren’t genocidal but we will do what is needed depending on the threat.

Your power speaks volumes. Not only in the quantity, but how it was acquired. War-like nations will always descend into war.

I assure you that if the emperor truly did want to go to war he wouldn’t inform you of his existence.

Fair point. Counterpoint: intimidation tactic, scaring us into submission by giving examples of your power. "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war." And I am no gardener.

As much as my people want to have peace, we have always been part of war since ancient times. Out soft and squishy appearance has led many to believe they could enslave or destroy us. We always become part of conflict but never because we want to be. My people believe that having a little bit of fear is very important because being overconfident can bring about deadly consequences.
