My two favorite specs on the ps5 are a nice internal SSD and backwards compatibility!! Can’t wait.

What is it though?

The ability to play previous generation games. What I am hoping for is the ability to pop in Final Fantasy Tactics from ps1 and play seamlessly on the ps5.

Oh as if!!!! When ps2 was released, you could still play ps1 games. They got rid of that by ps3..... and I got rid of all old games.... So no, just out of saltiness ;)

That was rather disappointing to say the least. My ps1 and ps2 barely work so this would be super nice. Oddly enough, my Nintendo still works just fine🤷🏻♂️

NES. Super Nintendo still works like a dream as well. We didn’t have much money, so what we got was all we got. Broke it, it’s gone. As far as I know my Magnavox Odyssey squared still works but I don’t have a tv old enough to play it.

Did you ever have to do the old blow on the cartridge trick on the NES? ( and no not that, for others reading this ) or position the ejection trey. I'll bet you appreciate things you have more today because of this.

Everytime I play😅 Now I have to put the cartridge in just enough to hit the edge when I push it down as a little “pop”. Still works!

BC is not officially confirmed for PS5 yet. The best we've gotten is something along the lines of "we're trying". I'm sure the PS5 will at least play PS4 games though.

Agreed. All speculation until the reveal. Hopefully next month. It would be dope though to occasionally pop in a ps1 game just because.

Yeah! I'm hoping they go back to PS1. I'll reserve mine as soon as it's available. Otherwise, I'll probably wait a while. Unless there's a really good exclusive.
