Here you go, great job although Shin yelling at you didn't make much sense, and I believe Shin Malphur is a Dredgen.
Days have past since I came here. I listened to stories of other Guardians.
Their stories were of the past, of Dredgen Yor and of Shin Malphur. The story of those two led into a debate. A debate of which was settled by a warlock, a warlock who told all of whom were here in this cavern the truth of the Dredgen and of Shin.
Shin had just walked into the cavern when the warlock had finished. Shin brought all of news, today he brought us some good news. The news, that of which he brought, was of the Light. He knew how we could all get our Light back, he knew where it was.
“European Dead Zone” He said, his face gave away what he dared not tell us.
He did not tell us that the journey would be hard and long, to get to the Shard we needed jumpships.
I asked Karov if the Sparrow link was online, he told me that there was none. I asked Shin if I could go out to search for my ship and find anything that we could use, and Shin, though he knew my idea was dangerous, agreed to it nonetheless.
So I set off, on the way back I found the camp that I made a while back.
When I got to the campsite, there was a sparrow terminal that someone had forgotten.
“That’s convenient” I said.
“Yeah, no kidding” Nexus replied, sarcastically.
We got the terminal up and running, not before taking the functioning parts out of it and using it as data so that Nexus could use it later.
With the Sparrow link active we set off for the Eclipse. We made it there in about an hour, give or take some amount of time.
When we made it to the Eclipse I immediately pulled out the AI chip so that we still had Ray, I then checked the rest of the ship for supplies.
All I found were some transmat links, a transmat pad, and a terminal. I then realized that I set up a transmat pad in the EDZ, though I did not know that the pad was located in the EDZ at all.
I made it back to the cavern and announced that the sparrow link was up and running, and that I found a transmat pad.
We set up the transmat pad in the left topmost section of the cavern. I tested out the transmat just to see that it worked.
The transmat worked, I was teleported to the EDZ, conveniently enough the pad was nearby an airfield from the Golden Age.
Once we all were in the EDZ we all boarded our jumships, I got my revenge on a Cabal Thresher and ended up using that as my jumpship, not before dismantling some of it and painting it black and dark blue.
We each split up into groups of four, once one group was close to the Forest the next group went.
I was in a group with Shin, Karov, and Titan, whose name was Cavalry-43. We then set off towards to the Forest.
When we got close to the entrance I saw a cloaked jumpship beside me, Shin was on the right side of our group, he would have said if he saw a jumpship or not. I said nothing about the cloaked jumpship as we drew closer to the Forest.
We entered the Forest, the cloaked jumpship was gone, and there were only four of us, two gunslingers, one arcstrider, and one sentinel.
We trekked through the Forest until we reached a sign. The sign read as follows:
“Four Guardians shall enter, your paths shall split for now, yet they will intertwine at the end.”
Behind the sign were four paths, each was decorated with symbols of that guardians past.
Mine was decorated with Vex architecture and with red flowers. Karov and Cavalry-44 had already went to their corresponding paths. Shin then asked me a question.
“Are you, Larsnic Mcreed, a Dredgen?” He asked me calmly.
“If I say yes, will you shoot me?” I said in reply.
“I don't want to kill you!” Shin yelled.
“Why are you a Dredgen?” He said fearfully.
“I am a Dredgen, I became a Dredgen so as to dismantle the Shadows of Yor from within,” I told Shin calmly.
Shin understood my reasoning, he then disappeared to go on his own pathway.
I then walked along mine. I heard the songs of the Garden as I walked. The farther I walked, the worse the song got, the singing now conveyed a feeling of dread, a feeling of loss and of pain.
I proceeded to run, I ran through a Vex transportation device.
The device transported me to a fragment of the Traveler. I approached the fragment, Nexus then appeared beside me. He glided towards the Shard, and then the Shard cracked, Light poured out of those cracks, and I felt a surge of power flow through my body.
The exact same moment I got my Light back was the same moment that the Taken had appeared. They were drawn to the Light of the Traveler, the Light of which I had. I harnessed my light and fired at the Taken using the improved Golden Gun. I then ran through a Vex teleportation device.
When I activated the device I was teleported to a different place in the Forest.
Shin and Karov were both fending off the onslaught of Taken Psions, meanwhile Cavalry-44 was throwing around his shield whilst head-butting whatever he could.
(I then drew my Golden Gun and sniped approximately 60 Taken Psions, not before no-scoping a wizard.)
We then made it out of the Forest and headed back towards our base. When we got back the base looked entirely different.
The other Guardians that made it back before us had refurbished the whole entire cavern. The cavern was now a full base complete with ever required component that a proper base needed.
Nexus, message KS27, Master of the Archives so that this log can be archived for later review and study.
Again the part in parentheses() is a little weird, you could change it to something like this...
I drew on my newly returned light and formed my Golden Gun.
I fired into the fray, burning away Psions and a Wizard.
I did that because it’s funny, it’s something that a Guardian would kind of do for fun, think back to the Journeys End comment that KSeth made about the Cabal Warship.
-
Also sniped and golden gun don't go together. Please don't get mad, I only suggest things like this because I'm trying to help
-
Also sniped and golden gun don't go together.
Ohoho, Crucible disagrees....
-
Eh, I like top trees neutral game so I have the range nerf goldy.
-
Yeah I remember, I just thought it didn't flow as well.
-
Yeah, wait I could change it so that I used a sniper rifle instead.
-
Yeah you could, but wasn't the point to use your newly acquired light?
-
Yeah, just think of that as the ability to manifest Golden Hun as a sniper for long distance shots.
-
Ok, but then how do you kill 61 enimies?
-
You do realize that there is such a thing as boundless light in the Forest. Boundless Light therefore means endless use of your super without wasting any bullets it any energy, therefore you get infinite super energy and therefore infinite supers and infinite supers means infinite bullets for your Golden Gun.
-
Yes I'm sorry, I guess I'm looking at your story way too literally. And taking it too seriously.
-
It doesn’t matter, this could all be a Vex Simulation for all we know and care.
-
Yeah, I like to fact check my work so I was doing so with yours I'll stop and just edit it now.
-
Shin is Dredgen Vale.
-
Ah, thanks.
-
Your welcome, Dredgen, or are you a Dredgen, who knows?
-
No, I'm more a neutral good kinda guy.
-
You do realize that Shin was only a Dredgen so that he could infiltrate and destroy the Shadows of Yor.
-
-
Same goes for me, I follow Shin’s teachings. Yet I walk, the next post name, Sorrow’s Road. [Sorrow’s Road is the name of my next post and it will deal with my identity as a Dredgen]
-
Ok would you like me to edit the next one for you?
-
If you want, I’ll probably make it tomorrow.
-
I recommend spacing out your posts. Example, more than two a week will give you a bad rep and a lot of hate comments.
-
Yeah, it’s like Gambit, some will hate it, and some will love it.
-
I changed the number, it’s no longer 61, it’s now 77.
