High impact fusions need a range cap and nothing major but it’ll really put them in a better place. When ppl say fusions are hardly used it is just absurd though.

Okay, so take it out of Managerie so you can't farm the rolls, tweak it's range and take "backup plan" off. I agree with removing backup plan, but there's no denying that the range is a pain to deal with as well. On console, fusion rifles are everywhere, but on PC they're used way less. Lord of wolves is probably the bane of PC users, while Erentil is the bane of console users. Yes, you play to win in survival, I get it. But, if Erentil wasn't so toxic and meta, maybe it would make room for other weapons that take skill to use to take it's place. My point is, take away Erentil from the hands of people who can't use a gun and make them learn to play instead of running around zapping people across long distances instantly with backup plan and not even using their primary the whole match.

All Erentil and fusion rifles are doing in general is giving people who can't shotgun a counter to the shotgun apes. I didn't see Erentil getting this much flak post Foresaken since the meta was basically ruled by Dust Rock and Luna, but Erentil was just as bonkers back than as it is now. So what changed exactly? I see a lot of YouTubers pushing people to use Mindbenders now... This must be their way of trying to push Erentil out, hmm? Go farm Menagerie for a Dust Rock and keep the DRB/Luna meta strong. lol I give most of the blame to scavenger perks. Sure, getting mapped by Erentil is a pain in the ass, but since 50% of most lobbies have people running a special weapon, ammo is a plenty and one brick can give up almost 5-6 shots if you have the right mods on. Now that scrubby Erentil dude who could maybe get 1 or 2 kills before getting slain can now get 3,4,5? 6+ before going down. If it does catch a nerf, drop Backup Plan and give it a hash damage drop off so the furthest you could possibly get a 1 bang is roughly 20-25m, 30m if everything lines up and your opponent is just playing recklessly. That would make shotguns rule the close range, Fusions take the mid and snipers have the extended range. But then with that change you are also screwing over the other fusions rifles unless Bungie specifically targets the High Impact class fusions for this change. It'd be another one of Bungies "exotic handcannons are doing well so let's nerf all handcannons" type of crap just like in D1.

agreed, thanks for your non-negative comment. I only use sidearm/lunas, sniper/lunas or shotgun/lunas in comp. Mainly because I'm going for not forgotten. But it just irks me on so many levels that the amount of hrs I've put in this game and time I've spent learning, playing and watching videos on how to actually be better at the game and at gun play just washes down the drain when a fusion rifle charges up around the corner and zaps me out of nowhere aiming at my body and not my head and getting a free pass to their next rank while my rank drops and I have to work even harder to get my glory back. People complain about shotguns, but you can see them coming most of the time unless you're ADS. However, you can't see a fusion rifle charging around the corner by a camper, until it's too late.
