  • Watching evolution videos of Minecraft from "Cave game" to what it is now is what gets me interested in coding. Kind of got into coding late in the high school years as I'm a senior now amd this is my first year in coding (Doing Javascript now, with html and CSS) but I could try to learn coding in games after High School seeing as though I was quick to learn html and CSS

  • Im actually a computer science major in college rn and the best thing i can tell you is learn java. So many languages have roots in java and if you decide to go into programming (gaming, industrial, retail,) if you can do well in java, picking up other languages is a breeze.

I'll certainly keep that in mind, our teacher has us "w3schools.com" and while yeah you can easily copy and paste the stuff which he has us do (it's optional) I rather just type the code in, it's less lazy and makes me remember the coding. We just learned today some very basic Javascript. My best friend as well is in AP Computer Science rn and so are a few others of mine, and she told me to be weary of Javascript but I find it easy as of right now. What's Python though? We've only gone over HTML, CSS, and now Javascript Edit: I also find Coding very fun as well

  • Javascript, i personally found a little more confusing, but to each their own. Every language has a very distinct purpose, or something that language particularly excels at. Java, is good at web based programming and creating applications to be used on a PC. (Like minecraft, or flash games, even though they are made in adobe flash) basically, running website applications. C++ is a big one. A lot of games are coded in C++, as the packages it supports are relevant to gaming. A lot of retail systems, (i.e. cash registers, scheduling algorithms, display schedules for TV’s,) are also made in C++ Python is a little different. Python excels at networking and reading and writing files. Personally I am going into ethical hacking and cyber security, where python is used almost exclusively. Any time an application or program uses a function that involves sending or receiving data over the internet, you can be pretty sure python was used. Python is also notoriously difficult, as the spaces and tabs, matter. Ex, if you have one too many spaces, the program wont run correctly, or at all.

  • Our Web Teacher teaches 4 other classes including game programming and well since I can't change courses (I just sacrificed my German 2 which I am done with, for a off period) he has said he'll help us with stuff like Java and C++ if we come to his class after school

  • Yeah he is, says he was in cyber security since 1997 until 2016 and wanted to teach coding to students because he saw a increase of people not knowing coding
