Isn't code of the protector based around the melee to keep you and your fireteam alive? Since, you know, melee kills Grant overshield and healing not only to you, but your teammates. I think it's pretty good. Not to mention melee recharges faster if you get kills while Defensive Strike is active.

The issue is, especially in Endgame activities, melee abilities aren’t useful because of stomp mechanics, being overwhelmed with enemies, etc. What I’m asking is that we are rewarded for running this risk. A better overshield would allow us to play more aggressively in PvE instead of running away. I’m not saying not make it melee based, I’m saying make it more viable
