  • Vegetables are very specifically the stem, root, or leaf of a plant. Animals don’t have stems, roots, or leaves.

  • Animals have STEM cells They have roots in their ancestry Also there are a variety of animals that mimic leaves

  • But meat isn’t made out of stem cells, or the roots of ancestry. And even if it was, that still doesn’t address the very specific “of a plant” bit. Mimicked leaves don’t photosynthesize, ergo, they aren’t real leaves.

  • Well technically stem cells can turn into any type of cell including the type in muscle tissue also another type of root is the one that makes the animal in the first place (if you know what I mean) Also vitamin D is made through the sun which boosts our energy so though it doesn't fulfill all the functions of photosynthesis it is similar

  • Yes, but want to know what stem cells can’t turn into? The cell of an actual stem. A root absorbs nutrients from the ground. None of our body parts do that. Similar to photosynthesis =/= photosynthesis. And once again; “...of a plant.”.

  • No it’s not, it’s part of the root! That makes it a vegetable!

  • I don’t know anyone who considered potatoes non-veggies. Are you sure you’re not thinking of tomatoes?

  • (I'm joking about this entire thing) potato tomato, my friend, potato tomato

  • I knew you were joking about your initial comment, but honestly I wouldn’t be surprises if potatoes weren’t actually vegetables—I went and looked it up. Botany is weird, though. Strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries aren’t actually berries, and walnuts aren’t actually nuts, for instance.

  • Yeah, I'll be honest I looked it up myself just to make sure I was actually saying the opposite of what it is. Also, it seems that a ton of plants are very unfortunately named

  • No because meat is animal and vegetables are plant. Vegetables are essentially the “meat” of a plant

  • So vegetables are meat??

  • So animal = plant and therefore meat = vegetable

  • What? no. meat and vegetables are the same thing, except one comes from animals and the other comes from plants.

So you agree with my original statement. As in meat = vegetable so therefore vegetable = meat
