Because Destiny is a game that has a schedule of events.
Not releasing content due to "minor" errors would have people complain anyway.
There are also complaints about Bungie having tested and are giving us a heads up with a few minor things wrong with the game that aren't too impactful, instead of having us figure it out for ourselves.

I don’t know about you but I don’t consider seasonal paid content to be “live” content therefore it should be well tested in advance... before release. It’s one thing to find glitches in game but quite another to deliver content with broken progression mechanics especially when seasonal content is now time gated.

It is what it is. And it’s live content.

but due to the issues, the requirements have been lowered. Overall, it's just more time to do other things.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 12/10/2019 3:00:26 PMIt should never happen! They clearly don’t test things properly Nor do they actually play the game The one where someone needs to have activated/linked ‘an obelisk to the sundial, to receive loot’ is fairly gamebreaking (you would have thought they noticed this during creation)

But to access the Sundial you need to first link an Obelisk as part of a quest. Like the Eyes on the Moon quest to unlock the Vex Offensive. They are only saying that you won't get loot from the activity with an unlinked Obelisk is because you can manually turn it off.
