Chaos reach as a super is garbage. It only damages on a per tick basis, so you need to hold it on someone constantly for 4-5 ticks, which isn't happening a lot of the time.
Also it basically has no armor whatsoever because of the "across the board" super armor reduction.
Chaos reach is one of the few supers you can insta kill with a fusion or shotty without even thinking about it or following with a melee, same for Nova Warp.
The only thing it has going for it is the neutral game amd apparently Bungie's way of thinking is that if the neutral game is strong, the super can be garbage. See Nova Warp. :)

Chaos Reach is not something I would use in Crucible... But it’s my go to subclass tree for PvE and Gambit, so long as I’m wearing my Geomags. Being able to essentially double the duration of the super is pretty nice. I don’t think it necessarily needs to be buffed for PvP: not all subclass trees need to be equally useful in both PvE and PvP, so long as they’re useful somewhere. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

Chaos reach didn't get its armor nerfed, it's been the same since release.

And your basically blind when you cast it

So it's always been trash? Sheeesh

It's only 40%.

Edited by WulfPak666: 12/3/2019 9:26:18 PMEven at 40% that's basically nothing. That super was hands down the easiest to shutdown pre ShadowKeep, it's even easier now that snipers (and Erentil) can 1 bang em. Nothing says "free kill" like a locked in place floaty guy.

The super is viable with geomag stabilizers, which seems kinda absurd that I need an exotic to make a super not suck, but hey I like it with geomag (you can probably see my masterworked stabilizers)
