Gunsmith bounty's have me using sidearms in PvE recently. Kinda fun for close range stuff. Full auto & Swashbuckler are good solid perks for me.
I think bows are in a decent place.

This post is mainly about Crucible. Neither sidearms nor bows are in a decent place in pvp.

Sir? Have you met my good friend Lemon Arc? (Le Monarque) as an avid bow user i can tell you right now you're dead wrong about bows having a bad place in pvp. The only 2 bows i can think of off the top of my head that are shit in PvP are No Turning Back and Trinity Ghoul (for good reason).
