How exactly does everyone feel about fusions in both PvE and PvP?
In PvE I find them quite enjoyable from time to time. In PvP I always wondered why regular ones have such insane range and linear fusions are almost nonexistent in PvP at least from my experience.
If Linear fusions used special ammo we'd probably see them more in PvP and if regular fusions had more damage falloff it would make you choose between precision/range and an energy pocket shotty so to speak. What's everyone's take on their current state and what would you change about them if anything at all?
Fusions are in a good place. They are niche weapons that serve an important role. They are balanced for the sand box and there isn’t any data to support a need for changes. Just players “feelings”. We need changes to the systems not weapon types to improve the game.

By that logic you also have no data to backup your own statement, just your own "feelings" that they are fine.
By that logic you also have no data to backup your own statement, just your own "feelings" that they are fine.
Except usage data which shows they can’t be over powered or unbalanced because they are barely used in the entire crucible and even less in survival the mode where winning is the most important thing.

The only reason most people aren't using erentil is because they're using Luna's howl, so does that mean Luna's howl is overpowered because it's the most used? No, it's because of a dumb quest that has to be completed in comp. You're twisting data to back up your argument, underusage does not equal underpowered just like overusage does not equal overpowered. I'm not saying all fusions are overpowered, but there are a couple that standout and can 1hko at ridiculous ranges.

Not true, but whatever.
Not true, but whatever.
Obviously true. Survival only has one goal win as many games as possible as fast as possible. If Erentil was overpowered there would be no reason not to run it, and all players would be incentivized to run it over every other energy weapon including LH\NF\Trust\ all the other weapons they run in that slot over it.

Luna's howl has a quest tied to it, get 300 final blows in comp with Luna's howl. That's why it is the highest used in comp. You can't complete that if you have erentil equipped. That's only one of many reasons you're wrong, but if you can't even piece that together it's pointless to argue with you.

So more players would use Erentil to get LEGEND then work on the NF quest giving us more Erentil’s in survival. People use LH because it’s a powerful hand cannon that pairs with DRB, and playing like an ape pays off unless you’re playing against someone who can punish it with a fusion rifle., making them the most used weapons in survival since Forsaken. The NF quest like doesn’t mean jack shit.

Lol ok guy, because getting those kills is so much easier once you're already at legend rank, yeah that makes a lot of sense. Ffs

And so people who are less skilled or, I dunno, use their big brains will still complete quests in the most efficient manner. Getting their hand cannon kills at lower ranks where it's easier and more efficient to do so, and then switching to whatever weapon is most effective for them personally to get that final push later on in the more challenging matches, it's simple logic. Whether you think it's underused or not, erentil and others like wizened rebuke can 1 hko at ranges that they shouldn't. Just because not everyone enjoys the playstyle required to use them effectively has no bearing on whether or not they're "balanced." They shouldn't be able to 1 shot you at 20+ meters no matter how few people are using them. You have a right to disagree, but that's just your opinion and nothing more, don't think that usage numbers have anything to do with it just because the majority of players prefer not to play at a snail pace camping corners precharging.

Playing to the strengths of a weapon doesn’t make it over powered in any way.

You make a good point. I think more varieties of map size could help out quite a bit.
