If the game was in its best state possible, which in my opinion it isn't, I wouldn't mind if they brought srl.
If they do it now, I'll be wondering why they spent resources into content that doesn't fit the game core. I honestly wouldn't like to see it coming in the near future.
There's stuff like trials or faction rally that are way more urgent. Besides that, I would expect them to bring up new content and polish a lot of stuff that still need to be improved. Only after that the game might be in a state that they could spend resources into other stuff like srl.
To be fair, they wouldn't be putting resources into SRL that would have been covering factions or trials since they're not doing anything with either of those things until D3 at the earliest, there will be a different team working on that game anyway.
Don't care. They would need to allocate people to develop srl content when they could be developing something useful for the game.
They would need to do maps for srl, when they could be developing maps for pvp instead.
The issues with them fixing Trials (which is current-state Comp, btw) and FR is that the fanbase will scream "recycled content". If they add new stuff, they'll complain about the things they want brought back like Trials and Faction Rallies.
You can't win with the fanbase that only wants shootybang pew pew content, so why not please the ones who are just here to have fun?
