They are getting a lot of negative feedback over the "new" content. Maybe they're just feeling a little sensitive right now.

This is why community managers burn. They all think the can take it, they can't. DMG gets off lighter than most, n still struggles. They know it's not aimed at them but I guess it's hard to not take it personally.

Yeh I assumed so but I wasn't even trying to troll. They just used that as an excuse to lock it. I read Code of Conduct... I don't see what I did wrong which is why I was asking him in a PM to no avail. I just want to avoid any further issues because of that post. Kinda stupid they can lock it and leave it there to continue trending. I can't even delete it now.
-
You literally put that you were waiting for troll replies, how can you not see that this was just a post to troll bait other trolls?
-
I was assuming hardcore Destiny fans would down vote and troll reply. I was very serious about the title. Bungie has lost people and money. They can no longer carry Destiny to what it needs to be.

Your entitled to your opinion but you haven't a clue what their financial position is or if they have enough staff. There are plenty of smaller companies out there doing better with less.
-
You only prove my point with that statement.
-
I really didn't. Your post assumed they couldn't afford to make the new content. I simply pointed out that you haven't got a clue if the can afford it or not and even if they had a smaller budget its still possible to produce decent content.
-
And neither do you. So I guess we are both entitled to our opinions.
-
Agreed, I never said I knew either. Nobody knows. That was my point.

I think it's very apparent that there's a live team type thing going on with D2. The confirmation of a new non destiny game in 2024, the loss of 400 staff, 2 studios, a publisher, and very few hired, added to destiny never having as many concurrent issues as it has now, tells me the balance of off regarding balancing the roster. They're using this game to subsidize them until the new game drops, then it's done. The way it's going, it'll end sooner, and badly. I totally get the focus is the new game, that's normal, but I fear for destiny right now. They've said this year will be much lighter, heavily using old assets, and with new consoles coming, new games, and a jaded unhappy playerbase, numbers are gonna hit low numbers.
-
I agree with a lot of your points I just don't get why they would pay so much to Activision if they were going to let it crash and burn.

It feels to me, after watching Luke Smith interviews before SK dropped, and Pete parson around launch, they where open minded regarding the future, I believe they're thinking was make it free, n if it takes off like fortnite we'll put resources into it in the future and keep it going, like WoW or final fantasy. That was what they hoped. But in the back of their minds it was always a possibility to fail and they'd just let it see them to the next game. There's a few other things like on release day when there where issues, the woman who was leading the server side went a bit mad and twitter and spouted it wasn't service space, they had way more than enough server space. Again pointing to them maybe hoping for bigger numbers. They prob looked at apex, Fortnite and black ops 3 as free to play successes. When blops 3 went free it had 30 million downloads and comfortably doubled any other cod in user numbers. The thing they forgot, was destiny is dated, and hit everyone at one point, it hit saturation point ages ago, there's not many who don't know about it, or tried it, it's not for everyone. It's also already been free on ps+, (added 2 million users) when fee on battlenet it only added 500k players, and the Xbox community is tiny. I think they need to turn to ship n hold what they've got now, look after the current players, and if that means the game ending in 2024, cool. The way it's going, everyone will leave, n destiny stigma will follow them forever. It's already a dirty word to people outside the community, they don't want it to become one inside the community. Their issue is, even if they want to right the ship, it takes them so long that it may be too late. It sXmas, the time of giving, and you know the dawning is already programmed n ready to go. It'll be heavily eververse. N involve Eva's oven again, so soon after this flop of an event, it's not very appealing n I'm a big destiny fan. There'll be the biggest outrage ever if it's too eververse heavy n nothing in-game. Eventually the hate will stop and spoke will just stop caring :(

We live in hope, there is nothing out there I'd rather play. The level of new content we demand seems to be unobtainable. I guess this is the reason why there are no similar games out there.
-
Yeah agree. No one's created a destiny style game for a reason. I don't think we ask too much, I think the bars now so low we'll take anything, and they're not even hitting that bar. But maybe that's personal opinion.
-
Yes your right they have got to a point where its better to do nothing rather than put somethings out that are crap.
-
Right? If it was such an offence that it needed to be locked, why leave it up to continue "offending"? I see almost identical posts all the time that don't even get mentioned. Guess your post just had the misfortune of being fresh and visible when Sauron's Eye opened.
