"The not as plain ones" includes Sorry! ?
Are you kidding? That's generic enough that it outght to come in a white box with a bar code for a logo.
Anyway...
I've got multiple chess sets, Monopoly, Risk, Sorry!, (among other "Ameritrash") stored away along with a few gems from childhood like Fortress America, Axis & Allies, Shadowlord. There's a Simon in there (not a true board game, but closer to boardgame than videogame) and Simon's more fun sibling, Maniac. I had a Stop, Thief! but the scanner died. Two copies of Games Workshop's most recent version of Soace Hulk (one still in shrink-wrap), the new "Warhammer Quest" (not nrarky as good as the original from the 90s- which I've got everything for). Got newer stuff too like Catan, Descent, Fury of Dracula (an old GW title), Elder Sign, Forbidden Island, Pandemic plenty of others. It's an addiction. 😔
I'm trying to stop, only bought one game in the last couple of years (not counting RPG stuff), but...
It was Gloomhaven 2nd Edition on Kickstarter (with a bundle of extra stuff) but haven't played it yet. So much stuff!
And I just laid the funds down for the Collector's All-Un Pledge on Kickstarter for Oathsworn: Into The Deepwood. I super-excited about this one!
It might be time for someone to stage sn intervention! 🤣
FWIW, your poll should have had an "All" option, I'd have certainly selected it. As it stands, I'm abstaining as all three descriptions apply to me.
EDIT: I'm BusyBadger over on BGG too. 😉

Gloomhaven is really fun, I played it with two of my buddies for almost a year. There are worse addictions. I figure if I spend all my money on games I can't afford liquor/cigarettes/drugs.

I'm so looking forward to getting my geme-centric man-cave (wife says I need to call it Nerdvana) finished so I can host stuff at home instead of at my FLGS. Plus, I can leave stuff set up. Hopefully ordering a game table (The Garrison) from Rathskeller around the New Year that will help a lot with that.

I played Oathsworn at a Con in June. It was -blam!-ing tight! Went all-in on that one, myself!
