Are you seriously asking Bungie to lock out players from using the Burden because you waited almost a year to try to get it? That’s how your post reads.

Umm yeah I am... Most people would agree that Izanagi’s Burden sits very high on the meta, being one of the best guns for doing DPS. However there is at least 3 bugs with the quest at the moment. Like they did with Telesto because of a bug, they should do with the Izanagis quest line. For 4 weeks since the release of Shadowkeep, the quest has been bugged and players aren’t able to progress on, and after the “fixes” on the quest, that ultimately created more quests. I’m suggesting that because it sits so high on the DPS table, Bungie should lock the Izanagi’s to all players so they can sort the quest out and make sure that it is working as players have already had to wait for 4 weeks, and it still isn’t fixed and when a gun with this high DPS, being able to 1 shot body shot invaders in gambit and crucible is quite over powered. Also the amount of outrage people have been posting on the forums, especially about Izanagi’s burden, Bungie haven’t taken any action to fixing the quest line.
-
Terrible suggestion. I’ve had the weapon for almost a year, and just because a quest is bugged out for people who decided to get the gun now, I have to be restricted on dps and what weapon I choose to lose? Lol do you know how selfish that sounds?
-
Ok, maybe that is selfish. However, if you read the post more closely I said that it was suggestions. Never meaning they had to take that action. And the point is that everyone who has not been able to get the gun since Shadowkeep still aren’t able to get it so I SUGGESTED things that Bungie could do.
-
Man that is the dumbest thing. The gun has been out and the quest was working fine for nine months. No way in hell it is at all reasonable for anyone to punish long time players that weren’t lazy to suit those that haven’t been supporting the fame for the last year or those that are lazy. You must be nuts.
-
Edited by pred209: 11/2/2019 2:27:55 PMAnd if it was working for 9 months, how come it’s not working now? And numbers of players had dropped around the time the quest came out because there wasn’t much advertising for it, but for Shadowkeep there is a lot of advertising which would get people to play again, and they would want Izanagi’s to do the new raid is it shines especially in that raid
-
Because the black armory stuff was compressed to make room for shadowkeep. None of that content is relevant to the players that destiny is aiming towards, it’s why none of the year two stuff rewards powerful any more. And it’s not like a new player or one that hasn’t been around doesn’t have other things they could do, quests that all work. thorn, Last Word, Lumina, the four new exotics that have dropped with the current DLC. Hell they would need to be going for all the opulent gear and the gambit sets all while shadowkeep has had new stuff since drop and an event currently. None of which requires the Burden to do.
-
Most players can do multiple quests at once. I have: Outbreak Perfected Thorn Lumina Truth Bad Juju Malfeasance Wish Ender Rat King Sturm Ace of Spades Last Word Jötunn Acrius Sleeper Whisper Worldline Deathbringer Xenophage Levi Breath My point is some players that play destiny often may have done all of the quests and for me the only one I need to do is for Izanagis which has been bugged for 4 weeks and I want it to be fixed... so I can have every weapon in the game so far
-
If people played destiny often they’d have the Burden done because it’s been out for nine months. So if they’ve been doing those other ones then you wouldn’t have a problem now. If you don’t have the Burden then you don’t have those other exotics which all don’t gain progress while doing the Burden quest.
-
Not all quests work for other quest, they may help in some steps And also people knew the gun was good before Shadowkeep but they hadn’t found the right place to use it as Whisper was many peoples fun of choice but now GOS is out, it sits very well for that raid and now people want it as their exotic in the raid but they can’t get it now
-
And all of that is irrelevant. I don’t care if people like using it on the raid, people also required tally for raids in D1 when it wasn’t needed. People will always put up stupid barriers to players, punishing other players for the pointless obstacles that some people put up, not Bungie, is dumb as hell.
-
Ok but it is also very good in strikes and excels in the raid. Even if people say you have to require it, people would still want it because of its high DPS numbers... ESPECIALLY when the catalyst got released and the Honed Edge damage would be increased and many D2 content creators reviewed it players wanted it even more because of its 20% bonus damage... You’re arguing that people should have got it before in those 9 months but the catalyst was what made a lot of people get it as 20% is a big increase for a sniper damage
-
1.) it’s always been a good gun, even before the catalyst, which by the way has been out for three or four months so again, no excuse. 2.) a weapon being good is not a reason to punish people who have gotten the weapon through hard work in game because you deleted the game and didn’t keep playing. You don’t punish loyal players because of fair weather players.
-
Explain to me then how it is fair on the returning players that can’t get the gun because the quest is broken and all they are asking for is for it to be fixed? And you’re still a loyal player if you played the whole of D1, got all the guns and had all guns in forsaken...
-
Tell me how is that fair that people who do have the gun can’t use it because others can progress in a quest?? What benefit is that going to do for both parties?? Absolutely nothing. It doesn’t help those with the quest get the quest done earlier.
-
At least they could properly fix the quest and test it
-
Well it’s not required by Bungie for anything, that’s how it’s fair. Tell me how it’s fair to punish players that played and got the gun in the nine months that it was working fine because some players left and didn’t keep playing?
-
Tell me how it’s fair on the people that can’t get the gun because it’s bugged???
-
It’s not required by Bungie to do anything, that’s how it’s fair. Now tell me how it’s fair to punish loyal players because of a choice that you made? Don’t avoid the question. How is it fair to punish others because of a choice you made?
-
Edited by pred209: 11/2/2019 2:24:59 PMI agree that if they took it out it would be unfair but since the release of Shadowkeep and the GOS raid, many people take Izanagi’s into that raid and some raid groups even make it a requirement. So how is it fair if people that paid for Shadowkeep and got the raid, they can’t get the gun that shines in the Garden of Salvation raid. If they took it out until it’s fixed it means that every raid group would have to accept people because there are no gun requirements.
-
You can’t stop people from making a weapon a requirement and that’s not Bungie’s responsibility. People will always do that. Tally, outbreak, thousand voices, ikelos. All been demanded by raid groups at one time or another, none of them had to be handed out to players more were they locked out. Hell the locking out is only used if a weapon is breaking the game with a glitch, not because it’s being used.
-
It is breaking the game with multiple glitches as people aren’t able to progress on with the quest and get one of the most demanded guns...
-
The quest is glitched, the weapon works perfectly fine. I can tell you because I got it months ago when the content was relevant because I’m the kind of player you’re trying to punish because you ignored content.
-
I never ignored content. I never got round to doing the quest and I had deleted the game after it had came out. I re-download it just before Shadowkeep and I wanted to get it again but I can’t because the quest is broken
-
If you deleted the game and only redowloaded it for shadowkeep there were two seasons that were constantly running between the season of the forge and shadowkeep and several events so yeah, you did ignore content. And you chose to not get the burden when the content came out and now want to punish all other players because you were lazy. Do you see why that’s dumb? You chose not to finish the quest so now everyone that wasn’t lazy should suffer because you chose to not do something. It’s like saying that the outbreak should be locked out whenever titan isn’t the flashpoint because people can’t get the start of the quest.
-
Edited by pred209: 11/2/2019 4:03:14 PMI didn’t re download it for Shadowkeep, I downloaded it because I wanted to change the games I was playing and it happened to be 2 days before Shadowkeep And you don’t need flashpoint for outbreak any more
