Out of what you listed only Doomfist and Genji would look cool and make sense in Smash Bros.

Blizzard has said that if an Overwatch character made it into Smash, it'd be Tracer who is added. She's the poster girl for the game, the most iconic hero.
look cool
Completely subjective. I think Joker from Persona 5 is infinitely cooler than both of them combined.
make sense
The only requirement is that they have had made an appearance on a Nintendo console. They all “make sense”. Also, I put an “other” for a reason.
-
I guess what I mean is, they are both fighter style characters so the transition will feel less forced and while subjective, I think fighter style characters have the best animations.

Edited by epicperon: 10/24/2019 5:24:18 AMThey’re not “fighter-style” characters. They’re from a shooter. Inkling is from a shooter as well and she ended up fine and not “forced”. Her animations seem fine to me. The FE characters have good animations too and their genre is even more different. Have you seen the animations of Marth’s origin game lol

I know they're from shooters but Doomfist and Genju play like character from a fighting game and have warrior backgrounds and both honed their skills and fight mostly up close. Yes, those characters you mentioned are fine to YOU, but IMO, a fighting game should should include and prioritize more combat experienced characters whenever it can.
warrior backgrounds and both honed their skills and fight mostly up close
Bruh. Marth, Roy, Chrom, Lucina, and Corrin are all regents of warring kingdoms that have trained in swordplay since they were all young, especially Lucina because she’s still young. Robin is a master tactician and powerful mage. Ike is a mercenary so legendary that the people in Chrom’s and Lucina’s kingdom tell stories about him. Cloud is a trained soldier. Shulk comes from a world where human settlements are constantly attacked by giant man-eating robots they have to defend against. They’re all trained in close-quarters combat with “warrior backgrounds”. Using lore to defend or attack a character’s inclusion in Smash doesn’t even make sense. Do you think Pac-Man was formally trained in CQC? What about Peach, the highest tiered character in the game? Your argument doesn’t make sense for most of the characters in the game.
-
And no Pac man wasn't and I think its stupid to have added him to the game.

My argument is my opinion and stop mentioning FE characters because their inclusion IS justified. They are trained in warfare and fight on battlefields.
