I had the same problem, but with two different pieces. I got them at the same time: the helmet and gauntlets for Warlock. I was hoping some way I could get them back. If anyone can help...

I noticed that if you had the quest to get the gear earlier then you can find the quest at the lectern which is right next to Eris. I didn't notice that before I made this post earlier
